    And you notice I listed GEM, Ever Ready and Star 1912s...All those Co.s were part of "American Safety Razor" so they all shared patents and they all produced 1912 razors at one time or another, and all the 1912s seem to shave great...So I don't believe you need to collect more than a couple to get the idea...After that I would recomend:

    Each of these are so very loved and have their own fan clubs of followers who tout them as the Greatest ever and with very good reasons...

    I happened to get both an ever ready 1912 and a Gem MMOC of the bay yesterday.
    I will start with the 1912 first. I was able to get 1 pack of each of the GEM Blades blue star and Gem by personna. From a local mom and pop drug store.

    I tried out my 1924 Ever Ready today. For some reason I expected it to be a bit harsh. Well, I was wrong. I found it easy to work with and fairly smooth. It was a great shave. :happy088:

    I got this Personna Executive Injector from France today...I opened the parcel up and thought I have Dud here...I looked again and I realized that this injector was meant to have an all plastic Finnish...Its moulded out of a one piece plastic mould...The other Executive that I have here has a stainless brushed finish like any other Executive that I have seen...I reckon that that the White Moulded Plastic just might be a Proto - Type or a Factory Blank of some sort...Its a bit of a mystery for sure...It was made this way for sure but I don't reckon this was ever sold to the public...Its like New....It came with a blade in it but doesn't look as if it has been used in way shape or form... Its a strange Bird and I am over the moon with this one....May be worth a Bloody Fortune...;)

    Just had my Maiden Shave with my newly acquired Mystery Personna Executive Injector...I loaded it with an NOS Dutch made Schick Krona blade...I broke my open comb month as I have just had a cist lanced and cleaned out on the back of my neck...No antithetic or pain killers....Just the scalpel and a lot of bloody pain...The Doc done it at my request as going to A & E is miles away for me...Any roads job done but my neck movement is limited for a wee while so I wanted an easy shave...Nothing better than an Injector for the job....I had a lovely clean irritation free all over BBS result today with this somewhat unusual injector...These Dutch blades are smooth & smooth....My spirit is lifted and I am clean & refreshed...I have nicknamed this one the "Great White Horse" ...Good Karma... ;)

    I went as British as I could to break in my Personna Executive. Even the weather cooperated - it was dreary and raining as I shaved. A good omen, surely.

    Light in the hand, I found the Executive to be very user friendly and easy to use. It has a large head section that holds the blade in place and somehow this seems to make it easier to work with. I was surprised with the amount of audible feedback. I had expected it to be very quiet but it gave a good amount of feedback as the razor easily slid across my face. Despite the picture above, I actually used a NOS Schick Plus Platinum blade. I had zero problems with its sharpness and zero nicks or weepers on this maiden voyage. :happy088:

    Despite all that, the word that comes to mind to describe this shaving experience was, unremarkable. Yeah, I know, it sounds like a let-down. Well, not really, there just was no particular attribute that really jumps out. I did need to do more touch up work to get a really close shave but it's still not as super-close and smooth as the shave my PAL Injecto Matic gives. However, it is still a great shave. :chores016:

    So, here's the summary. Great looks, easy to handle and use, easy on the face, and a clean, very smooth shave with no errors. Think of it as a steady Eddie - really good at everything but not remarkable at anything. A go-to razor for sure but not likely to take the crown from my PAL Injecto Matic. Then again, I've only shaved with it once... ;)

    Aye, I don't think there is a razor on the planet that shaves as close as a PAL Injector....As you get used to the Executive you can use pressure with them on the final pass...The angle is less intuitive but I the Injectomatics are hard to beat once you are setting a standard with it...;)

    A repeat of yesterday. I tried using more pressure and experimenting with the angle. There are some nuances to this one that put today's shave ahead of yesterday's. I'm finding that, unlike a razor like the OCMM, if you put too much angle on the blade you lose contact and can miss spots. Conversely, if it is very nearly flat with a little pressure you get a nice close shave. It's very hard to nick yourself with the Executive so I'll be experimenting with angle and pressure for a while. :cool:

    I'm excited because this came early! Wasn't supposed to arrive until Saturday. It's a little grungy and the mechanism is gummed up but I think it's a beauty. I'm going to get it into the ultrasonic and start the cleanup! :D image.jpeg

    The Personna Executive in some ways is like the PAL Adjustable in that the sweet spot is very subtle....There is no angle to mess about with as if you miss that sweet spot you are up the wrong road...A Schick is far easier to use and so are the Injectomatics....The Personna Executive is a thinking mans Injector..;)

    I am going to do the November challenge with my first SE. I figure using it the entire month will get me very familiar with SE shaving.
    Here is the setup I will be using. It is an Ever Ready 1912 model. Will be using Gem SS blades.
