  2. Just got an email, our razors shipped from Ukraine today.
  3. Do you do any skin stretching with your DEs? This helped me get better shaves.
  4. Thank you. Yes it's a custom brush patterned on a Simpson Rover brush. I received the brush from my wife last Christmas.

  9. Welcome to the thread. It looks like you picked a great setup.
  10. Welcome to the thread. Very good setup you have. Many others have given very useful tips that should help.

It could be a bad blade that is causing the ATG issue. If so that will be easy to identify. However, it sounds more like there has not been enough reduction on the prior passes before going against the grain. If this is the case, perhaps increasing the setting on the FB for WTG and XTG passes and then dialing in down for the ATG pass might be worth considering. Just a thought and as always YMMV.

  11. I am finally making progress Today I managed a two pass shave with no real damage. I got one little weeper while trimming around the goatee. I lathered up and did a WTG pass and then lathered again and cleaned up with an ATG pass. I actually have what I would call a DFS.
It is amazing what can be accomplished with a, "This #%?! thing isn't going to beat me" attitude. These focuses have helped me immensely.

  17. @NCoxSTL and I ordered two expamples of quality Soviet engineering in straight razor form. As soon as I get them they will go out for professinal honing. What could possibly go wrong?
