Maintaining a flat angle with the I-1 is easy. It’s been described as the Corvette of Injectors. Great slick creamy lather made easily with an Omega Boar. Finished with a generous dousing of Tabac After Shave. I am really smooth and my face is singing the high notes. Have a great Tuesday!
Slim Adjustable set to 9 Ladas Blade Geo. F. Trumper's Coconut Face Lathered 3 passes I purloined my daughter's coconut shaving soap this morning. It has a delightful scent and provides a slick & fairly cushioned lather. As long as she doesn't figure it out, I may repeat it again tomorrow. 3 passes and very smooth.

Tuesday So, what did I learn today? As from yesterdays shave, I suspected the canned goo for the heavy burn from the AS and today proved me right. The burn today wasn't nearly as bad and quickly disappeared again. What did repeat was the dry feeling of my skin, so I applied a cream in the end. Apparently this Gillette AS is not as moisturizing as others. Reading from the back of the bottle makes me think there's high volume of alcohol in it compared to my homemade mixture that's mixed with water and WH, hence the burn I get here and not with my homemade. I found another angle to XTG and got a very very smooth shave. DFS+++ bordering to BBS! ACES! As usual, the Matas Men soap is magnificent! Yesterdays shave with my experience with the AS and canned goo: SoS: November 9.2015 - November 15, 2015

Tuesday shave follow-up. I don't usually add to my SOTD's, however today's first shave with the Diplomat proved positive enough to make a few observations. The '55 Diplomat shares many characteristics with the President. Indeed, except for the finish (Gold vs. Rhodium/Nickel), one could easily confuse the two. The Diplomat, for whatever reason provided me with a better audio feedback. It seemed like the desired angle was more natural. (Admittedly, completely subjective). It seemed to sweep across my whiskers more smoothly. (How can this be?) I have become enamored with the vintage Gillette razors and I am very much looking forward to learning their individual idiosyncrasies. Tomorrow, I am debuting a 1947 NDC Gillette Milord.
RazoRock Black Mamba (Dendroaspis polylepis)/Personna Chrome Plisson European White no. 12 Saponificio Varesino Manna di Sicilia Speick AS Penhaligon's Opus 1870 EdT First shave with the Mamba was very nice. It's a mid efficiency razor, giving me a similar shave to the Pils. I like the weight and handling very much and look forward to becoming more familiar with its characteristics. It also looks hella cool!
11/10/15 - Thanks everyone for the Anniversary wishes!!!! Had a lovely evening. Used the MWF again today, same for about a week and a half. Just really it. Put this Gold Monkey on the Naniwa 12K stone and it polished up great. Good good shave.
Another great one today Gents. This Country Club Fern was buried under my sink, and I'm really glad I lathered it up. Great performance and post shave feel. The AMACK sunrise knot worked like a champ and for 10 bucks delivered, it's hard to beat. Looking forward to eating some wings tonight...lol. Have a good one gents.
Razor: Feather AS-D2 2015 Brush: Stirling Synthetic 26/63 2015 Mug: Van Der Hagen Cream: The Body Shop Maca Root cream Blade: Feather (3) Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Nivea Men Post Shave Balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1956 glass AS Stopper #3 Day 3 of shaving my Dads way, as I think of him with Veterans Day coming up. I noticed that my bathroom has this great smell from the Maca Root cream sitting out in the mug. Win win! Dipped the Stirling in hot water and whipped up some good lather with the Stirling and the Maca root cream left over in the mug. Haven't had to add product, which tells me I'm using way too much on a daily basis. Plenty of lather for a quick 2 pass shave. Finished with the WH, and then some Nivea. Rinsed the razor with the blade still in it, and hung it up to dry. I left the brush in the mug with the remaining cream and put it aside for tomorrow as my Mom said my Dad would do. The Feather blade on day 3 was good, which is also a bit of surprise, as I usually toss it after 2 shaves. It was a little strange rewhipping the cream again, but all is good. Oh, and some vintage Old Spice like Dad used! Y'all have a good one!
