  5. Today I switched to the PAL adjustable. Set it to the middle/ medium setting and it delivered a solid shave. New Chick blade. Got to use the Myrsol lemon for the first time, wonderful stuff! Have a great day all! image.jpeg

The name of this soap says it all. I Respect the sacrifice of all who served.

I had to break my routine from straights because I had a close shave yesterday and needed to go with a mild razor.

The brush was a 25mm round that I cut and turned into a handle. The coin was given to me by a retired Army Colonel (close friend and mentor), during my 3rd re-enlistment ceremony.

    Thank you Vets!

  7. Osage is really strong menthol, and it smells like baby powder after it dries.

  9. Skipped shaving yesterday. Science hurt some so I gave myself a day. I will shave with my normal setup in just a short while.

Another busy day, about to shave and head into Denver. Will be checking in on the shenanigans later! Hope everyone has a great evening!

    :)

  11. Rufus, it's certainly no business of mine, so I'll go ahead and ask. How did you break your ribs?
  12. Some knucklehead pushed me down a flight of stairs when I asked him why he was in a wheelchair!

...and one of my favorites - Larry David!

though I should not be laughing right now...ouch!
  16. Dang. I love the menthol part, but don't care for the scent description
  17. Fine aftershaves have a nice menthol level and several scents that might appeal to you. Also, take a look at the TSD aftershaves as well. You can pick your scent and menthol level.

Razor - Feather SS AC Pain Stick
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Brush - BoS Omega 10066
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post - Cold Water, Alum, Aloe

Not in as big a rush this morning so I didn't have to go one pass and call it good. Did a full two passes with the SS and no blood or other issues. Working around the cut on the right cheek presented no problems as I'm just decreasing angle across it as well as making sure no pressure is on the blade. First pass was very nice, DFS on the face and I used the second to work the neck close to DFS. I probably got it there but I'm not going to claim it as there were a couple of spots that could have been better.

I'm finding the muscle memory coming into play more and more with this razor now. Seems like my right hand especially knows what it's supposed to do and the "SSM"'s (stupid shaving mistakes) are getting fewer and farther in between. 19 days left with this razor and it's looking like it will be tame as a super speed by that time. Well, ok, probably not and what fun would that be anyway, but nice to know it's producing better shaves with less work and danger day by day.
  19. 2 pass with a fresh GSB in the superspeed. loaded up the proraso on the W synthetic and bowl lathered today. fresh blades near always feel harsh to me so I stopped somewhere between CCS and DFS. The clubman let itself be known a sec and eased off to a good feel. tomorrow will be a great shave.

    HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!

    Razor – !974 Gillette SS
    Blade – GSB
    Brush – AOS Badger
Soap – Gada Cool Mint shave cream
Post - Cold water splash, Witch Hazel and Clubman

Back to my setup for this morning's shave. Thought the shave went well. Chin not as close as I would like. Probably would have been BBS but for the chin. So I will continue trying to figure out the chin using this razor. The clubman was fairly quiet so that was good.

I was off work today for the holiday and so I spent the day working on my bathroom remodel I'm doing. Well the sweat definitely told a different picture from this morning. Apparently I irritated my neck a lot more than I thought and even more than the clubman pointed out. The sweat definitely pointed it out. Tomorrow will be another attempt at getting all the pieces to come together with this blade and razor combo.
