Yippee...Yeeah... That's great you have found the "Shy Girl" Sir. ..:rah:...You have got it now...Now you can understand the Controversy with the PAL Adjustable as its actually quite an Aggressive Shaver once you find that ever so subtle "Sweet Spot" ...This is a Feeling Mans razor for sure..Its a one off Injector this one for sure and you are spot on as the designers went out as limb with this one...It will just get better from here on in Sir.. Billy...
The Schick Adjustable is a lot easier to use and for me is a Pussy Cat compared to the PAL Adjustable but its a lovely and efficient injector nevertheless...Different Animal so to speak... Billy...
Thank you very much. The wife found this one at a local antique shop. She's getting really good at finding these things. Now to send her for a Pal would be nice!
Much thanks to you Sir! You were spot on with your characterization of this razor. Your encouragement kept me going!
When you find one remember it is like shaving with a razor from another universe as far as my experience goes. It will be great when you get it figured though.
Thanks, more pics. I just hope is doesn't get here before the end of november, otherwise I'm definately falling off the NoVember bandwagon.
I was watching these and was thinking maybe other members were as well. I purposefully did not bid so not to jack the price in the hope you might decide to split the haul up Great score for the price. I actually forgot about them until the auction was over, othewise you would have paid more (I had planned on $60).
I managed to get my hands on 3 lots (23 blades total) of NOS made in Holland Schick injector blades today. Add this to the 28 Chick blades on order, I should be set for a while...
Sorry Herm. After getting my last one in the mail only to find out it was missing parts and unusable, I'm kind of feeling pretty good about this one.
Those Dutch Blades are sharp but ever so smooth Sir..Takes an injector to another level in my books...You wont regret that.. Billy..
so is anyone else having touble finding the injector personna blades, or am I just missing something?...the personna injector blades dont have the little guide arm on them anymore, does anyone know if they still make them or does that arm now slide out? the weird thing is that the package still has a slot for the arm, its just not there.
Those blades you're talking about are called mini hair shaper blades. They'll work in an injector razor too of course but you'd need to move them from the dispenser they're in to one with the key on it. You can buy Personna injector blades in a dispenser with a key from a few places. Connaught shaving had the best prices last time I looked.
Like anything else its just practice Sir...It can be a bit fiddly at first...The main thing to watch for is transferring the blade without running the edge of the blade inside the magazine...I don't understand folks buying hair shaper blades as its a false economy because the proper blades that come in their own magazines with a key are so cheap anyway... Billy..
