  1. These things all personal of course...That said...I have to agree with you there Sir...The Personna Injector blades can be Harsh in Aggressive injectors ...No bones about it...I find them to be particularly Brutal in the PAL Adjustable & PAL Injectomatics...I actually quite like them in a G Type myself with a light touch...The Personna Injector blades seem to Fit Milder Injectors in my humble opinion...:)

The Chick blades are far sharper for me and more forgiving in Aggressive Injector's... I would go as far to say that some Aggressive injectors are almost unusable with Personna blades... What we have to bear in mind is that Personna blades are primarily designed to cut up dead animals in Labs and such like...The Injector blades are a secondary product with a Multifaceted cutting edge...:p

  5. Interesting....three of us watching and ready to purchase a lot of three razors and eventually two us of graciously step aside and allow our good friend to scoop up this amazing lot for a pittance of its true value. Im trying to think how the two of us could ever be repaid?:lyrtuy5:

  12. PAL INJECTO-MATIC REVIEW FOR RUFUS T.[IMG]
So here it is. I could not wait for my evening shower to try this bad boy out. Above you can see my setup with chick blade.

Prep as I usually shave right after my shower. My beard is nice and soft after that. Being I did not take a shower, I did the following. Drew up some real hot water and soaked my towel and gave my face a steam bath. Very nice feeling by the way.

Whipped up a nice thick lather to keep the old face nice and lubricated. Went for a nice leisurely face massage scrubbing every where. Took the razor and placed the face on my face then slowly dropped the handle until engagement with the blade. instant feed back. This really reminds me of my E2 for angle and feed back. Super smooth strokes across 2 days worth of growth.

Finished my first pass and did the old face check. very nice reduction. I could tell that this was going to end up with an awesome shave. So away I went with my second pass XTG. went exactly as expected. super reduction to the point I had a DFS right then and there. But I am going for the whole shooting match.BBS

Lathered up 1 last time and did my ATG. Again With an injector I am able to go ATG on the upper lip. The small head on these make it a snap to get a great lip shave. Rinsed off and did my final check. Perfect shave except very little left under the jaw. A quick touch up and that was history.

Gave myself a nice cool rinse patted my face dry and applied some VIBR AS. Great feeling nice tingle and awesome smell.

To sum everything up my own personal thoughts YMMV. Why the heck did they stop making injectors. These razors are the most efficient and easy on my face of anything I have tried. The PAL is a very aggressive razor, but when handled with care and deliberate strokes this mows down your growth.

Next month I will be focusing on only injectors. I plan on really comparing my E2 to the PAL. Also I will be giving my repeaters a work out. Exciting month ahead.

Tomorrow back to No variation November for the remainder of the month. I am very glad that my ER 1912 is giving me great shaves. Other wise I would be bailing on November to use the PAL.

Thanks to all of you who went on about this razor.

    Tom

  14. Now that's what I'm talking about! :happy088:

Yes I agree, great write up Tom! So happy to see another happy shaver.

One more tip of the cap if I may, to our resident injector guru @Billyfergie :happy096:

He's real quick with the YMMV caveat, which I appreciate, but with most everything having to do with injectors - injector razors, injector blades, injector technique and beyond (French hoes!) - he's been spot on and always happy to help.

With no experience with injectors before now, I'm glad I found this thread. I have 4-5 injectors now (2 PALS and at least 2 Schicks) that I've hunted down due to his reviews that described the razors perfectly as well as best blades to use and why. They all will be tough competitors for any of my vintage DEs to crack into the top of my eventual rotation.

  15. Here, here. This sounds like me in August when I bought my first injector. Now I have more than a dozen.

  16. Great post. I found similar results except I didnt have a chick blade to make it perfect. It is an aggressive razor though.

  17. The Almighty PAL Injetomatic does it Again...:smiley respect:....Why did they stop making the Holy Grail........Injectors were only popular in the USA ...The early Schick Repeaters & Type E Injectors were aimed at the Business man & White Collar Workers for sure....During the 1939 -1945 War Years Schick Injectors were only made for the War Effort...A lot of Servicemen got introduced to them and carried on after the war and brought them into the wider population it would appear....Schick Injectors had a brief moment of popularity with a bigger section of the USA Population in the 60s & 70s with Twin blade models...This was short lived however with the introduction of Twin blade Cartridge Systems becoming popular around about the same time...

The PAL & Personna Injectors never really caught on in the USA because the Schick Brand name was imbedded into to their consciousness regarding Injectors...By this time Gillette had a huge share in the Eversharp Company and who knows what influence they had there...When the Pivoting Head Twin Cartridge Systems came out the Injector was as good as Dead & Ironically Gillette copied this idea at least from the Personna Floating Head 11 Injector...:p

Glad you Like it Sir...The Schick Buster....:happy108:
