I may be the odd one out here...but I actually rather like the scent of gasoline and motor oil :D

I guess it's nothing like the old days I'm told. Nowadays most of the real craziness happens at the campgrounds. It's pretty fun anyways. My wife and I go for the riding as much as anything.

I've never been to Sturgis but I used to go to Daytona bike week every year. Motor oil soap sounds fun but I'm sure SWMBO would veto it faster then I could lather the first brush load.

uggggh, no thanks. That would remind me of my daily 9-5. Being an auto mechanic the last thing I want to smell is motor oil or gasoline, besides i can get that smell for free and get paid to smell it so why would I buy it

Nice ride. I haven't had one in many years but my father inlaw keeps his ultra classic in my garage for winter. Once the little one is older I'll be building another bobber.

Looking at the ingredients listing on the label, I didn't realize motor oil smells of tangerine, lavender and patchouli…. :signs002:

I love the smell of Jet fuel. I wouldn't want to shave with it. Now that I think about it:signs002:

When they make a shave soap out of real motor oil, I'll buy it.

OK, since we're getting into a weird scent thing, here's a few I'd like to see and haven't seen listed anywhere:
    • Fresh mowed grass
    • Fresh mowed alfalfa
    • Burning leaves
    • Just after a rain storm
    • Italian dinner cooking
    • BBQ cooking
    • Chocolate chip cookies baking
One I'm sure I've somewhere but don't remember where is sea breeze. And enough with the citrus, sandalwood and patchouli already. I've got nothing against them, but how many soaps with those smells do we need, ya know?

    Approximations, at least:

    Fresh mowed grass:
    Saint Charles Shave - Fairway
(Plenty of fern and pine varieties that could work as well, if you're into greens.)

    After a rain storm:
    Chiseled face - Summer Storm

    Burning leaves:
    Stirling - Texas on Fire
    Mama Bear - Northwoods Campfire
(Another more post-campfire is the incredibly smoky Meissner Tremonia - Strong'n'Scottish)

    Choc chip cookies:
Mickey Lee - The drunken goat
(Several others doing gingerbread direction soaps, if you're into baking ;)

    BBQ cooking:
    TSD - Barbecue

A couple of ozonic, sea breeze varieties I know as well. Perhaps Wickham - Southsea spray, or Meissner Tremonia - Salty Sea Sage.

Oh, and there's another engine oil soap as well, Redneck from Chiseled Face.

    :D

Thanks for the list! The two Meissner Tremonia were high on my list to try already but I don't recognize any of the others you mention. Oh and I don't do gingerbread or licorice as a general rule. ;)
