It's an inexpensive Terra Cotta bowl I picked up in a small Mexican fishing village (Puerto Morellos). I thought it would look good in my SOTD pictures. Not bad for 45 pesos, about $3.
WEDNESDAY C-MON 'Hand-Forged' (HF); Cade soap & Fine finish. Three-pass, near-BBS shave! Have a happy Hump Day, all!
Great setup today. Toby does some fantastic work on his handles. What type of finish is that? Not the typical black or black matt or gun metal gray. Really like that finish on this one.

Thanks! The handle finish is cerakote. It's actually the normal black not the matte. Just enough shine but nothing flashy. As to Toby's work it has become my favorite. Price to quality is amazing. Thank u for the compliment by all credit goes to Toby!
Schick I2 razor Schick Super Chrome blade Vulfix "Strand" boar brush Vintage Williams SS Osage Rub/Jason's Aloe Gel Pinaud Lime Sec cologne w/added menthol I had heard wonderful things about vintage Schick blades so thought I would try out a Super Chrome that had been pif'ed to me. Kinda disappointing actually, certainly no better than my regular Personna's. Still a decent shave and and I'm sorta ready to go. BTW, vintage Williams is the bomb!!! Now go enjoy your day folks
November 18 (no shave yesterday) '62 Slim Adjustable (4) Chinese Gillette Super Blue Blade (3) I think the blade has had it. Two days of growth and a decent shave with no tugging or pulling, but needing lots of cleanup which I ended up doing with a Tech loaded with an Astra SP. I suppose I could try the blade in a more aggressive razor (or a more aggressive setting on the Slim) if I wanted to get some more life out of it, but really don't see the point. JR
