1. I own an Omega 10066 Boar brush which I like very much. I would like to get another Omega, but not sure what to get. Your experience with Omega would help.

  2. I have a 10049. It is a big brush, but is amazing -- feels great on the face and is a lather-making machine. Inexpensive too.

  3. The 10049 is my only Omega brush and I like it, though I have to admit:

    - the hollow plastic handle feels pretty cheap (well, the brush IS cheap, actually - I really don't know why it's called the "pro series"). In comparison, my Semogue 620 feels much more sturdy.
    - it lost more bristles initially than all of my other brushes combined. More than a dozen on the first use. But not too many after that

On the other hand it feels very soft on the face and produces large amounts of lather. That's why I keep it.

Here you can see how big the 49 is:

I might buy one of those 10075 brushes some day - just because I like the look of the handles ;)

  5. I used my Omega 10098 this morning! You can't go wrong with this brush, plenty of backbone, breaks in nice and soft, beautiful, outstanding price point.

  6. My first brush was the 10049. Great brush and I liked the knot so much that I transplanted the knot into one of my Rubberset 400 restorations. The 49 broke in fairly quickly and is a lather making machine. With you already having a 10066 I would go with the Omega 10098. Like Mark said go big!

  7. I have several Omegas, ranging from the big 10098 Pro down to the smaller 11574. All are FANTASTIC.
Sooooo.... just pick the one that strikes your fancy!

  8. Today is my second day using my 10048 and boy what a difference from the shedding nightmare that is my VDH. Big brush it lathers super fast and makes face coverage a sinch, especially easy to pinch for the under the nose lather. Nice backbone. Gonna toss my VDH out the bathroom window and into my neighbours yard. Then go pick it right back up. :happy093:

  13. Reading these posts led me to ordering a 10066. That's what I'm blaming it on.
  14. The 10066 will stand up to the big boy.

Except one all the others were reliable and trusted.
The Omega Boars are fantastic and as they come out of the box
For me is the No 1 brand in Boars.

  16. I received my 10066 Wednesday. I soaked it for 15 minutes yesterday morning and used it for my shave. A very nice brush -- well balanced and feels good in your hand. Made an excellent face lather. Very impressive right out of the gate, and at a great price. Can't wait for it to fully break in.
