Hi All, I've been reading about the Italian 'Cella' soap for a while now, and it's always piqued my interest. The recent reviews over at Gio's have been good, both performance and scent wise. It's a soft soap type, and I imagine it can be molded into any container with no problem. I'm not positive though, and will email Gio to get more info. I also need to get a quote on shipping as well, since this stuff is in a large, over two pound brick. I can either order a small (5 ounce) tub for myself for $12, or maybe do a very small group buy on the larger size I mentioned. It's $44 for 1000 grams (without shipping), and I'd guess it would round out to about $55-60 total. I'm thinking of doing a 4 way split..........say, 8 ounces for $15, shipping included. This may not have to go priority mail, otherwise it's gonna be at least $4.60, depending on what part of the country. I'd be looking for three others to participate. Take a look over at Gio's site (or other forums) and see what the Cella description sounds like. I'm not positive I'll be going ahead with this group thing, but I do want to see if there's any interest from other members. It seems like a nice product at a good price. I'd also be perfectly happy to have someone else set this up if they like, and I'd be glad to send them the cash for my 8 ounces. Or.......maybe someone would like to set up a larger order so more members can be involved. I know that person isn't me though. Three shipments is about my limit, sad to say. Anyway, just thought I'd toss this out there, since this soap does seem to be pretty interesting, and doesn't get a lot of attention on most forums. Hi there Jeff, Yep, reading that TSD review link, along with others thoughts on the stuff makes it tough not to at least try it. Hehe, looks like you enjoy it a fair bit, along with some other member's who's opinions I also respect. Haha, I'm glad I didn't leave the 'also' out in that last sentence. The funny thing is.......I'm not a big almond scent fan and probably won't even end up using it much. The lather it makes sounds very promising, and who knows, I may end up liking the scent enough to use it from time to time. The soap's texture also has me curious. Yeah, that's it. It's my 'healthy curiosity' for shaving soaps taking advantage of me in a weak moment. Yes, commonly known as SSAD...............sigh. Martin
Hi there, Tell you what I'll do, and see if this works for you. Exactly NO one else has even shown the slightest bit of interest in splitting some of this, and I'll go ahead and order the $12 tub in the next few days. I need a few other things from Gio as well, and will put an order in tomorrow or the next. I'll split the tub with you when I receive it. I'll take the top half, and send you the bottom when I'm done! Won't be more than 5-6 months I'm guessing. Hehehe, just teasing a bit.........I can do a little better. I'll use a knife and cut the soft soap in half and send that out (in the tub, if you like). Should run $8-9 with shipping, and would be plenty to use for a while. Oh...you want the top half or bottom half? Sorry..couldn't resist. Let me know if that works for you in the next day or so. Martin
