Razor: Gillette Fatboy Adjustable w/case (7) Blade: Feather Platinum (5) Brush: WDC-1 (Grandfather's) Black Badger Wood Handle (Whipped Dog) 20/65 Bowl: Yokohama Studio Cream: Proraso A/S: Fine American Blend TSD M Bomb Another excellent 3 pass shave today. Whipped up a very good lather and the 3 passes went smooth. The American Blend is a great after shave. Have a great weekend.
I am not sure. Here is my Aristocrat. Look at the knurling I circled on mine. It's appears different on yours.
I like it, a lot. it smells very nice. it's hard to keep from sniffing it. the scent is amazing, but the performance is equally amazing. it makes lather that's rich and slick. my face feels soft and moisturized. it's top shelf for sure.
In this link, the knurling was different during different time periods. http://www.razorarchive.com/the-history-and-evolution-of-the-us-gillette-aristocrat
Whenever I struggle with my selection for tomorrow's shave I always come back here for inspiration. I found it!
Today's Shave Prep: hot shower Brush: Omega 13522 Soap: Arko Razor: '46 - '50 Gillette Tech Blade: Astra SP Post: Wind Song Acres bay rum aftershave, Nivea balm Got going extra early this morning as I had a presentation at school today and wanted to get a great shave. 2 passes, nice and smooth. Except for the caterpillar growing on my lip. Doing the Movember thing this year. It's starting to drive me crazy but I'm hanging in there. Seems to irritate the corners of my mouth as the day goes on.
I'm hoping Santa brings me one this year. Actually, I'd take either one but I'd really like a Diplomat

NOVember - NO Variation November 20 Razor - Feather SS AC Pain Stick Blade - (2) Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat Post - Cold Water, Alum, Nivea Two thirds of the way through the November Rule No Variation November and all's well. I did a single pass this morning due to a meeting that normally doesn't happen on Fridays. So one pass to a CCS and off I went. One pass really isn't an issue anymore. The only downside is the CCS finish but today I didn't care. Alum was very quiet with only one pass so I threw on the Veg afterward as well. Mmmmmmmmm good. Here's to the start of the weekend!
