  1. That is very impressive and they look fantastic!

Once my Schick O gets here (it's a week delayed already so worries are rising...) I'll snap a family photo as well.
    Really nice @Hodge !

  4. I think beyond 5 razors is no longer "modest". I think you have moved up to "mildly impressive". Nice collection :happy096:

  6. There is a beautiful, stunning white I1 on etsy that is reasonably priced. If I didn't have one it would have been gone some time ago. If anyone has been thinking about one of those - rush on over before someone else does... :transport015:

    Three Pass Routine..

Hot Water prep & massage with Coconut Oil
    Ever Ready 1914
Gem Stainless SE Blade ( Shimmed )
    Semogue Boar Brush
Erasmic Shaving Cream (added Argan oil)
    Organic Aloe Vera Gel
    Hattric Aftershave Splash (From Germany)

Dragged out my Ever Ready 1924 out for an evening shave before I go to the Boozer for a Nice bottle or two of Newcastle Brown Ales...This is a nice custom stainless handle...Its over a 1oo grams but I like this combo...Vintage & Post Modern ....I measure all SEs against Injectors and I must say that the 1924 is up there with the best of them...This is a very Aggressive razor but Smooth & Smooth...I had a very comfortable shave tonight and my face is Smooth as Silk...The 1924 is just so manoeuvrable & agile and very forgiving with an ever so light touch...I use a Gem Half Spine to replicate the angle of the original stropping blade...Wooo - Ra....Feeling refreshed for a Sunday beverage at the Pub...:)

  10. As I've let about 7 PAL adjustables slip through my finger or rejected them I'm still in the market for one. Any clues I could look for to distinguish which is which when they show up on the internet (without the detailed pictures of their heads?) While the case razors come in aren't always properly matched was there a difference?

  11. You have such a beautiful Chorous Line of Gorgeous Ladies but then you have those two Injecto-matics.......
Hmmm, I could help you out by at least taking one of those off of your hands....:lam:
    OK....OK....you don't have to be so aggressive.....:duel:

  12. The only other distinguishing feature that I notice different on the one I just bought is that the adjustment knob is shiny, while the other one is more the color of the brushed stainless. That could simply be from use. If you ask the seller, many times they will take additional pics for you.

As a side note I did notice a difference in the shave and I much prefer the latest model with the shorter head bevel. It is a more intuitive shaver though both work. I find it is harder to get a smooth shave with the previous Pal. Hope you find one Karl! They are very interesting razors:)

  13. I've shared this story before, but no story about my Pop doesn't deserve repeating and my verbosity knows no bounds...
One day my Pop and I were at a 7-11 and I saw the PAL Inject-to-matic and said, "Hmmm, I think I'll give one of those a try." And my Pop quickly replied, "To each his own, but could you please refrain from embarrassing me in public and buy it when I'm not with you" Whew!!! :happy097::happy102:
My Pop had our family household confirmed as a Schick Designated Area.....ha,ha! .Of course he was always kidding, but it did deter me from copping one at the time...}8^((

  14. Love your stories Bird! What makes this hobby so special is that traditional shaving has been a part of peoples daily routine for hundreds of years with so many stories attached to it. I always did like to route for the underdog, but I have to say it sure is hard to beat a Schick for the shaves they give. Still, there is just something about the Pal that is intriguing and keeps me coming back for more:cool:

  16. The one on eBay is the second type that gives a better shave imho. You can tell by the bevel in the pic of the head.

  20. Monday is my first shave with my TREET Single Edge. I have a STAR SE, so I'm hoping they are similar in the way they shave. Going with a GEM Stainless Steel blade.
