I need someone to help me figure this out... I was browsing E-Bay France and came across this... item# 230242033491The description translates as Former Razor - White Steel - 14 cm long Ok... for 20 bucks it looked like a nice restore opportunity to keep me busy. Got it in the mail about an hour ago.... it is the heaviest razor I have ever felt. It weighs more than my cat. It had layers of grime on it so I've been cleaning it ever since. I cannot make out the metal.. if I didn't know better, I'd guess sterling. It is very well made. The only markings are at the very base of the razor... C on H.M. The "on" has a line under it. Anyone want to hazzard a guess as to the history or maker of this razor??
Pics would be helpful. Also, people didnt make blades from sterling silver, it wont hold an edge compared to steel and carbon steel.
With an original date of post 4-25-08, I suspect this one is long gone...and so is Apotheker's interest. Too bad, now I'm curious.
What the Hell? Somebody posts in April, and the first response comes in August?!! Thank goodness we're not 911 operators! :happy102
No, we seem to be particularly well suited to governmental jobs. Something in the Senate, perhaps? Somebody needs to let the O/P know that with both the U.S government winding down and the government in Canada ready to call an election all of us bureaucrats have finally got around to considering the possibility of studying weather or not to answer his question.
