  1. I have shaved with one of the tigers. I would prefer the rusty can lid. It would cut better leaving me with a more comfortable shave.

  2. I'm Thinking about using a Gem featherlight with a SS PTFE coated blade tonight with Chisled Face Tradewinds. I'll decide on aftershave before I get there.

  3. :signs011: Yeah the 30-day mantra - "technique, technique, technique" blah, blah blah.

I'm here cause I just can't get enough of that photo above with MrC and the 30Day Crew! I've long wondered how @NCoxSTL , center at top, shaves that huge crevasse between his cheekbone and jaw? I mean, how do you flatten that out?!!

Congrats on all the posts Brian! Great to read all your posts here, and happy that you're hanging in there with this gang.

    No Variation November!

Automatic! 18F and a super slow day on the prairie. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

    Have a sterling Monday!

  7. Congrats on a great November focus and on 2000 posts! You made great progress with the Pain Stick this month, and I enjoyed learning right alongside you. :happy088:
  8. Agreed. No cuts. Mostly gashes and open flesh wounds. I don't believe any arteries or connective tissue were severed. That's always a plus. Of course, there was that other incident...

  9. I like you all enough to support the use of questionable items to shave with, and the sharing of the fun. I will encourage fun things like straights for everyone. (And the ones I am willing to loan this group are sharpened and disinfected, so I must like you guys a little bit.

  10. Cuts aren't as bad as in appropriately applied menthol. I'll call that one a fail.
  11. Ok. I'll give you that one. You earned it!
  12. It takes skill, patience and a little twist of the wrist. Easy as that.
  13. Congratulations on your 2,000 posts! You add a lot to the group and we're all glad you're here. ... another group hug?
You are right about the 30 day focus threads, they help keep me on track. I think a shave journal really helps, but having folks give you pointers to help you improve makes all the difference in the world.

Tackling 3 day growth with a Str8!! Will let y'all know how it goes!
  15. No blood! At all! This blade definitely needs a honing though.
  16. Congrats Seth!
  17. It could just been the fact the blade is rather dull. I imagine I didn't strop correctly when I first got it. It felt like I was cutting a sirloin with a butter knife.
  18. Yeah, its not supposed to feel like that. If it doesn't slice you before you even realize it, it isn't sharp enough. Getting a shave ready razor is a key to getting a good Straight razor shave.
  19. Boris huh. I think I will be changing addresses soon. :scared003:
  20. Sounds like it's time to go to a honer.
