  3. Well, for one thing, you could scratch yourself!
  4. So, if someone asks why I bought a straight razor, I'll say that I just had to scratch the itch.

    Proraso Tutte Le Barbe
    Proraso Barbe Dure

    TSD ISZ Shave Stick

All shaves will be with a Plisson, cold water, face lathered, alum Finished. My AS this month will be Pinaud Lilac Vegetal over TSD ISZ, with a couple of variances thrown in along the way. My goal is to spend five days with each razor, maybe try a couple of blades in each razor, to determine which DE suits my techniques the best. After a year basically of strict 30 Day rules, a focus on DE seemed a perfect way to close out the year.
  13. Yowzer!

  14. I feel anything but young these days. ;)

It was kind of bad to have a birthday on the 24th as a kid, so I celebrated it in June where I could have a party with friends.
  15. wait ten more years....

    I feel your pain brother!
Having mine on the 29th, I briefly lobbied to change it to springtime or autumn.
We all received no end of platitudes like - "I spent a little more on this because its a Christmas AND a birthday present!" Sheesh :sad023:

And having a BD right smack in the middle period between Christmas and New Year was like the eye of the hurricane. All the excitement happens at the front end and tail end, with you in the middle to pick up the pieces!
    :sad024:

Ah but there is a bright side at this stage - no public reminders of how old the geezer is!
    :happy069:
  16. That's funny my oldest daughter's birthday is on the 29th also. That is worse than the 24th.
  17. Poor kid, people are recovering from the Christmas madness and gearing up for New Year's Eve - who wants to do anything on the 29th! (Edit) - Or the 28th!!

My father sure appreciated the full-year tax write off though!
    :)
  18. I'm the 28th I feel your pain. I was due on Christmas, so it could have been worse
  19. I have a friend whose last name is Christmas and she was born on . . . yep the 26th.. Her parents were also kind enough not to name her Mary.
