Shave of the Day Tuesday, December 1 Prep: hot shower, Somerset's PSO Razor: Gillette Old Type SR Blade: Feather (1) Brush: Rubberset 400-4 Silvertip Badger Lather: B&M Leviathan Shave: 3 passes; WTG, XTG, ATG Post: Alum, L'Occitane Cade ASB SO I decided to try the Feather and OLD type combo, I once had a pretty good shave with this combo. This time, first two passes were great, ATG was kinda meh. Not really any nicks but just some minor burn. Not a fantastic shave but could have been much worse. I'd call it a DFS-... Happy December! (Where'd the time go...)
Hello all, today's SOTD as follows; 1934 Gillette Aristocrat. Polsilver Super Iridium blade. Chinese Badger hair brush. Old Spice shaving cream. Old Spice AS Splash. Nivea Post Shave Balm. 360 Red cologne. I hadn't used this razor in a while, so I took it for a spin around the real estate tonight. I am glad I did. This old razor has been around a long time. Every time I use it I am filled with nostalgic retrospect. It has outlived numerous owners and still functions flawlessly. This amazes me. They sure don't make 'em like they used too do they? Here's the photo- God Bless, and have a good night.

Wonderful Wednesday Lavanille is one of my favorite scents and a top performer. BBSB very quickly whipped up yogurty goodness to set up my stubble for its fate as delivered by der Futur. Three smooth passed on five leaves a drama free BBS. I finished up with HTGAM Gondolier, another top scent in my book.
Yep, it'll be the cinnamon EO. I regularly add them to Arko and I getting a numbing burn, bit like a red wine flush. I've tried many different oils to great effect. Cinnamon and Eucalyptus is nice too.
December 2 SOTD: Homemade PS Oil Frank Shaving Pur-Tech Brush Stirling Bay Rum SS CJB Pain Stick Stirling Unscented PSB Stirling Bay Rum AS
Fantastic shave again - this time with the Matas soap. Lots of lather and skincare with a nice, clean scent. The Krampert's Bay Rum aftershave also smell and feel like heaven!
Odin's Day: Prep: Hot shower, Nivea for Men Original Moisturizing Face Wash Brush: Beeline Boar Lather: RazoRock Cumba Cheech croap Razor: Merkur 41c OC Blade: Bolzano (2) Passes: WTG, XTG (3, 4) Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock Cumba Cheech AS balm Cologne: Aoud Forest by Montale (sample) I found I had just enough Cumba Cheech croap left for one more shave, and wanted to use the balm this AM, and so my tools were set. I'm thinking the Bolzano is not a good match for my skin and technique in the Merkur 41c at this point, as 2 passes produced more irritation. The relatively mild razor combined with the relatively less sharp Bolzano means I'm probably using too much pressure. As a result, I gave up after two passes, and the alum showed lots of hot spots of additional irritation. The results would otherwise be called DFS, I think, and the scent combines nicely with the Aoud Forest.
