Today was the day to experiment with a modified Feather in my PAL Injecto Matic. I figured one of two things would happen: I'd forever from today be known as scarface after spilling buckets of blood, or I'd have a shave that was so deep that I wouldn't be shaving for the next two days and then some. Well, neither ended up being true.
The short story is that the blade tugged constantly and left a lot of stubble behind. The first pass was about half as effective as I expected and I noticed that I had to go back and re-do strokes as it seemed to be missing in random places. Four passes and touch ups later I could only get to a somewhat better than average DFS.

The good news is that I only had a couple of very small, tiny even, weepers and the Osma block didn't turn up anything unusual.
My best guess is I somehow damaged the blade when loading it, or it was simply a dud blade, or it just isn't meant to be paired with a PAL. I've got some Feathers out now to cut down as I'll try it again another day with a new one to see what happens the second time.

All experiments are successful if they yield usable data so you could say the experiment was a success but I sure wouldn't want to repeat the experience.
