  3. I expected this. Try not to die. I'm not sure our faces can be made to take the kind of abuse we are used to seeing from you on the 30 day thread.

  4. The fact you did the honing gives me great confidence that it's as good as it can get. Better than a rusty tin can lid at least, given what you had to work with. Heck, what's the worst that can happen? ;)

  5. Well, hopefully technique will win this one. If not, there's always cold towels followed by Nivea, then Aloe, then any other lotion/balm/conditioner I can have on hand. My theory is that it will be doable, just have to take time and not over-reach the blade's abilities. Or, it will be so horrible and impossible to even get any kind of decent pass out of it I'll have to toss it after the first pass. I don't think there will be a middle ground.

  6. The geometry of this blade, along with the complete lack of a spine leads me to believe that it started out life as a butter knife.

  11. When butter distribution was reduced to every third Tuesday from 1:00 to 1:15, interest in butter knives began to wane. People began looking for re-purpose opportunities.

  12. Yeah but at least standing in line for those 15 minutes gave you the chance to build community. A butterless community, but hey, friends are better than butter.

  13. I would almost welcome a chance to try it as well. It looks fun. Was it shave tested after honing?
