My shave tonight This was my first shave with my newly acquired Black Tip X3 Voskhod Blade (2) WD pure black badger brush AOS Cream Sandalwood. AS VIBR and some AOS Balm Had a very nice 3 pass shave on 2 full days of growth. Have been on an injector kick lately. I was surprised to get such a DFS with no cleanup needed. No irritation or weepers. Very nice razor kind of mild . This is a razor where I feel I cannot get in trouble with. It seems to be very forgiving. When you have the correct angle it gives great feedback. This seems to be on par with my flair tip. Both nice razors to shave with.
Hello folks, tonight's SOTD as follows; English Gillette #66 Aristocrat. Personna Blue Lab blade. Chinese Badger Hair brush. Proraso Blue shaving cream. Proraso Blue Post Shave Balm. Avon Mesmerize cologne. Tonight's shave went off without a hitch. The #66 performed admirably, as well as did the Proraso. I rate this shave as a two pass BBS! Here's the photo- Have a great day!

GOOD MORNING TSD!!! SOTD 12/22/15 Razor-Gillette Super Speed(1952) Blade-Gillette Blue Blade(2) Lather-C.O.Bigelow Brush-Badger Three Passes-Wtg,Xtg,Atg Post Shave-Cold Water Rinse Witch Hazel Barbasol Pacific Rush A/S This morning's shave was very pleasant and drama free, the Super Speed, Blue Blade combo was very smooth. The C.O Bigelow is one of my favorite creams I've used so far, it always face lathers very easy with the badger brush. Finished off with the Pacific Rush A/S for a DFS++++ shave! HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!
Good morning everyone. Here it was La Toja day today - La Toja Stick - Semogue 1460 - Edwin Jagger DE86 black - Sputnik blade - La Toja After Shave Lotion Fantastic shave. The stick in my opinion is the best of the inexpensive soap bunch, lathers without any problems. And I love the scent. My new EJ razor (first shave today) is a keeper too. The handle is rubberized and offers a secure grip - and to me the handle size and diameter (almost the same as the standard Mühle R89) ist just perfect in combination with the head weight. I just hope the rubber coating is sturdy and doesn't wear off too soon I decided on a 3-pass-shave today, just because I enjoyed it (and I had that much lather...). Very smooth and with a BBS result No nicks or cuts, A+ across the board. Finished with the usual cold water rinse and a generous splash of La Toja Aftershave. Great scent that seems familiar somehow. One of my relatives must have used this a long time ago - but I can't remember who and when. There's menthol on the ingredient lists, but I did not feel any cooling sensation (which is great, because I don't like that). Skincare seems to be very good as well, though my favorite AS, the Tüff sensitiv, has a slight edge in this respect.
I missed a #66 a few weeks back and I've been kicking myself ever since, the handle is one of my favourites. How does it shave compared to other vintage Gillettes?
