Your Proraso tub looks different from mine - Italian colors are missing here ... seems as if they're making some sort of export version
Hello Gordy, sorry to hear you missed out on a #66 recently. Compared to a 1950's Super Speed the #66 seems slightly more aggressive/efficient, but not in the same class of efficiency as that of a Gillette New. In other words it is more efficient than a Super Speed, but not as efficient as a New. But still a fantastic shave.

6/8+ Prior MW- Lemongrass & Bluegum homemade brush This razor was pawned in 1984 for $15 the receipt was in the coffin. I think I paid $20 for it and have had it for a long time. It's pretty minty and a good shaver. Have a good one.

It is soft right out of the box, so much so that I feared the backbone wasn't going to be there but it is, just feels different. Like a cloud caressing my face. Where it shines even more is the lather, it just seems to magically produce more and more after loading. Now for the aristocrat, what a fine razor guys. After my third swipe wtg, I checked and thought to myself wow this thing shaves close. After a very hasty 3 pass shave I ended up with a very nice DFS and I think I might like this one more than my red tip. It's ease of use and superb balance is much appreciated. I'll have a better gauge on it after three more shaves. Have a great shave and a safe day friends.
It was Tabac Tuesday for Dec 22nd's SOTD........... Tabac stick face lathered w/Ever-Ready 500 PB (I've come to the conclusion that this $5.00 brush is a Silvertip) Gillette 40's Rocket w/7 o'clock SP (black) Witch hazel followed by Nivea Cooling ASB finishing w/Clubman Vanilla 2-passes for an extremely comfortable DFS!
Lord Smart razor Astra SP blade RazoRock Plissoft brush Vintage Williams SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Skin Bracer w/added menthol Saw this razor on the shelf and thought to myself, "I haven't used that one in a loooonnnggg time" so out it came. Paired with the Astra SP, it's a smooth shaver that worked very well. And, as always, the vintage Williams is the bomb. All in all, a great start to the morning. Now go enjoy your day folks.
So it's YOU!!!! Got to tell you, I love your brushes, especially the clear handles. You are a proper artist and craftsman!
