1. Hey all,

So, I've yet to take the (polar bear) plunge and would like to snag a couple of high-menthol soaps.
What are all of you loving/hating these days?
    :Animatedfrozensmily:
Kizurra, SHAVEWIZARD420 and Robyflexx like this.
  2. Stirling glacials have great freezing capabilities. Also chiseled face cryogen is probally the coldest soap I've tried. So cold in fact, I cannot stand it :( It makes my eyes water and my hands shake:)
The crakstar will chime in shortly, I'm sure:)
  3. Here I am to add my 25 cents worth - what's 2 cents? lollllllllll

Although the Chiseled Face Cryogen is somewhat, though slightly ahead of the Glacials in the menthol power I don't like the complete lack of skincare from it as well as the difficulty to lather it. The Glacials are almost painfully-cold (in a great way!) and you get beautiful scents from them, awesome lather, and brilliant skincare.

Here are some other frosty face-freezers which I enjoy:

    1) Krampert's Frostbite
    2) First Canadian Polar Vortex
    3) Stirling Frozen Tundra
    4) Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic
    5) Stirling Black Ice
    6) Queen Charlotte Soaps Vostok
    7) TSD Subzero
Ahh Oui, Halvor, Kizurra and 5 others like this.
  4. Great lists and advice! Thanks, all!
@crackstar Any of those that you see as standouts, performance-wise?
  5. Cryogen is amother soap that is ridiculously mentholated. A bit too much for me, but sure to be a nice fix for a menthol junkie.
Kizurra, Redrock, crackstar and 2 others like this.
  6. Cryogen will get rid of a head cold.
  7. Yes sir - the Glacials!
  8. Margaritas in the Artic is nice. M- bomb is nice. You can ratchet up the menthol a drop at a time on any soap, aftershave, or preshave you choose.
Kizurra, BigCabDaddy, Ahh Oui and 2 others like this.
  9. @crackstar is our local master of menthol.

Add my favorite after shave, Barbasol Pacific Rush, very, very cold. Carried by Dollar General.
Kizurra, Ahh Oui, crackstar and 2 others like this.
  10. Not as powerful, but Bigelow or Proraso green is good enough for us non-menth heads
Kizurra and Ahh Oui like this.
  11.
Kizurra and Ahh Oui like this.
  12. Stirling glacial lemon ice is fantastic! I highly recommend it.
  13. I ain't no master of nothing! (but thanks!) :)
Kizurra, Ahh Oui and Robyflexx like this.
  14. :Animatedfrozensmily:+2 for Stirling Glacials!:Animatedfrozensmily:

I also use Cryogen or when I really want a good face freeze I'll combine one of the Glacials with Cryogen for an uber freeze lather!:Animatedfrozensmily::Animatedfrozensmily:

P.S. Thanks again @crackstar for the Cryogen :)
Kizurra, crackstar and Ahh Oui like this.
  15. Enjoy! ;)
    Kizurra and Robyflexx like this.
  16. The coldest soap I've tried is Iced Sub Zero. If you are really into menthol, make sure you finish your shave with a nice splash of Osage Rub aftershave. That might be the coldest stuff I've ever put on my face.
  17. Queen Charlotte also has iced key lime. It is by far my favorite soap. I use it year round. Even in the god forsaken Iowa winters with -20 temps and wind chill on top of that.
  18. It really is a great soap
Kizurra and Ahh Oui like this.
  19. +1 for cryogen, you gotta try it.
Dr jons arctic hydra is one of my favorites but milder.
I think I'm going to have to place an order for the key lime soon.
Ahh Oui and crackstar like this.
