    What a shave, what a shave, WHAT A SHAVE!!!!!!!!!!! Mr James Riley aka the Obsessive Soap Perfectionist created a gold medal soap in this Grapefruit Menthol version. It's got awesome lather with a lovely scent which is not really grapefruit but definitely citrusy and refreshing. It also has a POWERFUL menthol effect and a great post-shave feeling. My Krampert's Frostbite aftershave delivered its own beautiful freeze and such a wonderful soothing effect! :happy088::happy088:

    Blade - Personna Injector (First time trying)
    Brush - Semogue Boar 820 (First time)
    Soap - Erasmic (First try)
    Pre / Post - TSW glycerine soap

    I enlisted the help of the Reindeer to assist in today's display.

    Christmas day shave

    Prep: musgo real orange amber
    Razor: Gillette ball end tech
    Blade: lazer platinum
    Brush: ever ready 600
    Soap: B&M Seville
    Post: cool water Balm


    Had a decent 2 pass shave. The Seville made a nice lather and is a clean barbershop scent. The blade was starting to show signs of dulling so it will b changed after this shave. Hope everyone has a great holiday.

    • Razor: Gillette Slim 3rd quarter '66
    • Blade: Schick platinum
    • Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
    • Post: cold water rinse

    Great BBS shave! The brush and blade are part of a gift. As unusual as the brush is, it whips up a great lather! It could do with a bit more backbone, but other than that it is a really nice brush. The handle holds nice as well! And... it serves as a 'hook' to hang the brush when it is soaking:

    • Blade: GEM
    • Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
    • Post: cold water rinse

    Another BBS shave! This brush was a gift together with the LIWA. It's as soft as the downiest chick and lathers up real well! Since the wooden part of the handle seems to be uncoated, I unscrewed it, and right now it is soaking in linseed oil. I'll keep it soaked for a week or thereabouts so the oil can be absorbed into the wood. :)

    Razor: Gillette NEW Short Comb
    Blade: Personna Med Prep (5)
    Brush: Thater Silvertip-26mmx55mm
    Aftershave: Country Club-Modern Fougere

    WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

    MdC today. 20 seconds to load the Thater Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Med Prep still in the NEW SC. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with CC Modern Fougere.

    Early mornings shave with a vintage 'Leader' from F. W. Engles. Warm lather from my little Becker scuttle. Homemade bay rum finish. Nice way to start a busy day!
