    Jayaruh #38 High Mountain Badger
    Micromatic Clog-Pruf
    GEM Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Florida Water

The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #38 High Mountain Badger brush. Two passes with my Micromatic Clog-Pruf Razor and a GEM Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Florida Water after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SOTD 12/24 (Shave at night so a day behind)
Prep: Hot Shower/ Nivea Original Men's Face Wash
    Pre-Shave: Proraso White Pre-Shave Cream
Soap: Barrister and Mann Latha Taiga
    Razor/ Blade: Maggard Mr-5 w/ Muhle R89/ Bolzano Superinox
    Brush: Omega Boar
    Astringent: Alum
    Post-Shave: Nivea Men's Sensitive Balm
    Aftershave Splash: Captain's Choice North

Really nice shave for the night of Christmas Eve. The B&M Latha is a very slick soap. No problems with lather at all. The post-shave isn't fantastic, but it's not terrible either. Still using my Maggard Mr-5 with Muhle R89 and it gives close shaves, but is mild on my skin and smooth. First time using the Bolzano Superinox and they seem comparable to Personna Lab Blue, just not quite as sharp but still smooth. Overall, I'll enjoy the pack I have, but won't be buying them again due to the price and them being similar to Personna Lab Blues. Got an awesome Christmas Haul, posted in the other thread of stuff I'll review in the future. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday with friends and family.

Good morning everyone ;) This is how I got rid of my three-day stubble:

    AdobePhotoshopExpress_2015_12_26_09 06 28_ji.jpg

    - Stirling Preshave Soap
    - Meißner Tremonia Woody Almond
    - Semogue Owners Club Badger
    - Edwin Jagger DE 86 black
    - Polsilver Super Iridium
    - Speick Men After Shave

Pretty much a completely new setup ... I used the razor only once before - soap, mug and brush I got for christmas. First time I used a mug for lathering actually - and I have to say it's easier than face lathering. Loaded the brush for about 20 or 30 seconds, added a little water in 2 steps and produced a huge amount of lather in just 1 or 2 minutes.

The brush does a great job - it has a higer loft than my 2-band WD badger, not as much backbone, at the same time the tips are much softer. It is a bit of a lather hog though ... the WD releases the lather more easily. On the other hand the SOC lathers faster and holds more lather than the WD. The handle is nicely shaped and easy to hold - and it's just a beautiful brush ;)

The Meißner soap is very good as well. Not quite as good as my selected few top soaps (like the RR Mudder Focker or the Jeeves Eucalyptus & Spearmint), but up to par with the runner-ups. It is a hard soap, but still very easy to lather, you don't need much product, the lather is pretty slick and protective and even without tallow or lanolin it leaves a nice postshave feel. The dry soap has a pretty intense bitter almond scent, but while working the lather the woody notes come into play - not exactly fresh wood, it's a bit like campfire ... more smoky than green. So VERY different from let's say Cella or Valobra or other typical italian almond soaps. I like it :happy088:

Went three passes for a BBS shave - the EJ shaves almost exactly like the Mühle R89, which is no surprise, since they share the same head design. Though I think I like the rubberized handle a little better than the chrome one from Mühle.

Finished with the usual cold water rinse and a generous splash of Speick ASL - great A+ christmas shave.

    Have a wonderful saturday y'all :)

    Pre Shave Oil-E-Shave
    Lather-E-Shave Orange Sandalwood
    Brush-E-Shave Badger
    Three Passes-Wtg,Xtg,Atg
    Post Shave-Cold Water Rinse
    Witch Hazel,E-Shave Orange Sandalwood PSB

This morning's shave was with all new products I received from my son for Christmas except for the Schick G8.
I have never used pre shave oil before so the jury's still out on this I'll try it again tomorrow.
I face lathered the Orange Sandalwood cream with the E-Shave Badger for a nice slick and rich cushion the scent was very pleasant.
This is only my second shave with the Schick G8 I really like this little razor.
My post shave routine was topped off with the E-Shave Orange Sandalwood PSB left my face nice and smooth and with a nice light scent of orange.
So all in all a very nice smooth and comfortable BBS shave. :happy088:

    Amazing Shave
I figured out this Annie Jones PSO. The bottle says to use four to six pumps, but I've found one on each side of my face works best. This shave was superb in every way. B&M Rhapsody gave up optimal lather to my Brothers Bristles Spartan Bronze brush, preparing my stubble for it fate, courtesy of der Futur armed with a Voskhod. I finished with B&M Lavanille splash and I feel and smell great.
The only thing I'd change about this filter would be to have my puppy in there instead of this cute one.

Happy Boxing Day to all who celebrate it!

I got a gift card yesterday, so I ordered refills of both Krampert's aftershaves, and I could not resist the Tabac deal on Amazon.com ($16.50 shipped for a new jar - no more cracked lid)

    Good Morning everyone, today's SOTD as follows;

    1940/41 US Gillette Aristocrat.
    Astra Superior Platinum blade.
    Chinese Badger Hair brush.
    Old Spice shaving cream.
    Nivea Post Shave Balm.
    Old Spice AS Splash.
    Avon Mesmerize cologne.

This old razor performed perfectly for me again. The blade was sharp and smooth, and the shaving cream was slick and protective. Everything came together to make a great shave. A two pass BBS! Here's the photo-

A magnificent bay rum-scented shave with my new Bay Rum soap from the Obsessive Soap Perfectionist. It has a nicer scent than I first thought and does it ever lather like a maniac with great blade glide. Its post-shave care is also superb. The Krampert's Bay Rum aftershave went on so nice and comfortable leaving my skin extra-smooth! :happy088: :happy088:
