Good morning from the Northeast to everyone , I hope your holidays have been full of laughter and love, surrounded by family and friends. I found a special treat (1959 Fatboy, 3rd quarter, in marvelous condition) waiting for me on Thursday morning upon returning home from a 3 day business trip.

I had my first and second shaves with it yesterday and today, the same setup each day as I acquaint this magnificent shaver:

I am genuinely impressed by how smooth and effortless this razor is, on the two tries it gave me a completely irritation free and extremely smooth shave. Finding the angle on "5" was a snap. Just wow. A wonderful shave. I am looking forward to testing other settings, "7" is next!

Prep: Hot shower, Nivea for Men Original Moisturizing Face Wash

The first use of my new Ginger's Garden products, hooray! The Herbal Lavender is a very sharp green scent, to my nose, almost surprisingly strong. It will likely mellow a bit as the puck ages. Because it's a brand new puck that I didn't seat well to make it stick to the bottom of the container, and because the Omega 11575 isn't the lather hog that my Simpson 56 is, lather could have been thicker, but was more than slick and protective enough. The Bic is still going strong, no doubt partially due to only doing 2-pass shaves. After 2 passes and some buffing, I had DFS+ results. On checking the ingredient list for the GG aftershave - which I've never used before - I decided to forego my normal witch hazel step, as it features so prominently in Irena's product. The AS splash is slightly less sharply scented (probably the aloe vera + menthol combination), and the skincare is perfect. There's just enough menthol to take away any sort of razor burn you might get, without freezing your cheeks off, and the aloe vera combines with the other ingredients to leave the skin feeling very well conditioned and not too tight.

THREE PASS BBS TODAY WITH MINOR TOUCHUPS. LOVE THIS LITTLE RAZOR IT'S SO EASY TO MANEUVER. GUYS THE STIRLING MITA IS A MUST TRY, THE COOLING SENSATION ALLOWS FOR VERY COMFORTABLE CLOSE SHAVING IN TIGHT AREAS. THE PRE AND POST MOISTURIZING EFFECT IS SUPERB. BEAUTIFUL SCENT THAT FILLS THE ROOM. HAVE A GREAT DAY AND A GREAT SHAVE.

 

We're gonna miss that cracked lid man. Its always been a regular reminder for me not to drop my lid..

I got the Meißner Tremonia Himalayan Heights Shaving Paste from my Girlfriend for Christmas yesterday. Awesome scent and performance. Together with the Aftershave a perfect match. The Mongoose did the job nearly perfect. Just as every time.
