Wow! One of my greatest shaves! This razor is very forgiving and cuts the hair in one stroke.
    Have a great weekend, Folks!

I don't use my Super Speed very often. Today I was reminded of why. Unpleasant shave.
It left me with several rough patches and I actually didn't enjoy the shaving process.
No nicks or anything, just a plain "meh" experience. Almost DFS.
I'm positive that if I only had this one and was forced to use it, I'd master it over time.
Luckily I have much better razors in rotation, so tomorrow the blade goes in another one.

  7. Hello everyone ;) My shave today:

    - WSP Marrakesh
    - Semogue 1460
    - Gillette Tech/iKon Bulldog handle
    - Feather (1)
    - La Toja ASL

A very nice 2/½ pass shave this morning. Feather blades and vintage Gillette razors seem to be a really good match. Also the soap and the aftershave go very well together. :happy088:
  8. Another fantastic shave - this time with my Egyptian-made Ingram Green freezing cream. Proraso Green feels warm compared to this stuff, and does it ever lather great with good skincare. The Skin Bracer felt neavenly when I was done! :happy088: :happy088:

  18. Sunday:

Prep: Hot shower, Nivea for Men Original Moisturizing Face Wash
    Brush: Omega 11575 Boar
    Lather: RazoRock One-X croap
Razor: Birth year/quarter Gillette Black Handle Super Speed
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (4)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (7, 8)
Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash
Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange

The main reason I'm not using one of the new soaps I received for Christmas today is that I need to acquire more containers in which to put them. Instead, I reached for one of my top performing jasmine-scented options, the sadly discontinued One-X. Easy, great lasting lather is all but guaranteed with this croap, in my experience. The Bic started to show minor signs of aging on the XTG pass, so tomorrow will probably be its last day; ten passes are about the average of what I expect from these blades in any event. Comfortable, blood-free DFS+ results again with the easy-to-use, mild Black Handle SS.
