Menthol Monday December 28th was the full meal deal today. Taking some vacation time so this mornings shower & shave was very relaxing........... Pre-shave: Noxzema w/moisturizer Cream/Brush: Proraso cream lathered in Becker scuttle w/Omega 6151 Pure Razor/Blade: Red Tip Super Speed w/7 o'clock Sharp Edge (yellow). 1st time w/this recently acquired razor. Combined w/the fresh Sharp Edge blade it shaved wonderfully......... Post: Osma Alum then witch hazel rinse followed by Nivea ASB finishing w/Barbasol Blue 2-passes w/some touch-up for a near BBS shave!
Monday: Prep: Hot shower, Nivea for Men Original Moisturizing Face Wash Brush: Omega 11575 Boar Lather: Stirling Glacial Obsidian Soap Razor: Birth year/quarter Gillette Black Handle Super Speed Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (5) Passes: WTG, XTG (9, 10) Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS splash Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy I should have changed the blade. Lather was really good for what I expect from Stirling this AM; perhaps Stirling lathers better with boar? The razor continues to be smooth and mild, but the blade was fairly dull and tuggy. Luckily, the amount of menthol in the Stirling + the Aqua Velva Ice Blue combined to stop any razor burn cold (sorry, couldn't help the pun). I'd put today's results somewhere between SAS and DFS.

Been on a 2,5 hour MTB-ride today, so I was wasted when I hit the shower. Somewhere along 2015 I lost my shape, and I felt that today! I hit the wall way to far from home. After the shave I felt born as new DFS++
Nice photo and curious about your brush of the day. Read conflicting things about theBestshave #6. Some really like them and some say smells bad. What has been your experience ? Thinking of getting a horse hair brush.
28dec15 I had two days growth so I used my unknown Slant today. Very aggressive but very efficient on the first pass. Definitely have to pay attention to speed and pressure with this one. I also didn't use a mug to lather up this time, just load then face lather. Not bad but I think I still prefer working up the lather in a mug or bowl. The eucalyptus mint lotion is nice, smooth and lightly scented. A couple nicks but no weepers and an overall GOOD shave.
