Wednesday's Dove Men Face Wash Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap Jayaruh #38 High Mountain Badger Micromatic Clog-Pruf GEM Stainless CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Rose Petal WH Florida Water The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #38 High Mountain Badger brush. Two passes with my Micromatic Clog-Pruf Razor and a GEM Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Florida Water after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Upon returning from the holidays at the in-laws I received a lovely Schick M2 in the mail. So today's shave was the test run with (what else) a twin blade. I never thought I'd go above the I in the Schick alphabet as that was my birth year but I'd been reading all these great reports of how the Schick Adjustable shaves with a twin so here I am. And it feels great. Hey Jeff, I've been looking for an opportunity to share with you an Ice-Bucket Challenge story that was pretty funny. My favorite NHL team, the Capitals, have been doing it(to themselves)the past 3 summers. One particular player suffered mightily, because he poured the bucket onto himself, then just as he got all dried off, 3 kids were standing on the balcony of a building right where he was, and they dumped ANOTHER bucket on him! Poor fellow.

Have an M2 (Tom) but have never tried a twin blade in it. I own a pack and feel inspired now. Thanks Karl.
29dec15 Went back to the Aristocrat. Also used my vintage bottle of Aqua Velva finally. I don't know if I had a DFS or the AV has lost most of its alcohol, but there was very little sting today. It has a lighter AV scent than new stuff but the after feel was just as nice. In fact I can still sense a light whiff of it as I'm posting and feeling my face. The picture isn't one of my better ones but it is what we come to the SOTD for, isn't it?
I've had it in the den now for six months and a really good Italian scent. They call it Sicilian Citrus and contains the following: LAVENDER, ROSEMARY, VERBENA, ROSE YLANG YLANG, SANDALWOOD, VETIVER, WHITEWOOD, EUCALYPTUS, MINT. Very good stuff. In fact I really like all four Extro splashes that I have.
Thank you. I'm sad to say though, I went to wipe down the bottle with just a damp rag and part of the label at the bottom came of with it... No pressure and not even soaking wet! No more wiping down of the bottle any more.
