I agree Paul! It seems Clubman always stings a little and sometimes like a fire, but when the sting wears off, it has a nice warmth. I think my skin likes the conditioning.

Today's shave was great. I've noticed after coming off a bad razor to a good one, the shave is pretty easy. This razor is becoming one of my favorites. It shelves great and the name is so non-PC it's great: Red Injun. The newborn seems to like the smell of Mandom.

I just checked out Phoenix razors as I've not heard of them, that double oc is very nice I look forward to your focus

I was fortunate enough to get two new razors this month, a Cobra Classic and AlumiGoose. My plans are to focus on these 2 razors and compare them to my Mongoose.

Today was my next to last shave this month and was on setting 8 for both the WTG and ATG passes. Today I figured out the angle on the 8 setting for sure. Excellent shave. No irritation. Minor touch up along the jaw line and at the Adam's apple.

Will be interesting to see how long the closeness lasts. My last couple shaves using 7 and 8 settings have lasted 8-10 hours which is good for me. The shaves using 6 and 7 settings lasted a solid 10 hours every time.

Tomorrow I move on to setting 9 for both passes. I should have already gotten here but with all my issues before Christmas I did not get in as many shaves as I hoped. So I am debating on my January focus. Spend more time with the executive trying different blades etc or move on to either the fat handle tech I got from the Nationwide Tour Box courtesy of @JR Reyes or several SE Schick razors I have not put much time in with. Decisions decisions.

Your Gillette executive looks great. Where did you get the fine samples?

My fiancee got them for me for Christmas. I believe she ordered them from Maggard Razors. HERE. Really love several of the scents. The L'orange Noir, American Blend and Platinum in particular. The snake bite is serious menthol which I love but the smell needs something more. Have not tried the two Vetiver samples yet.

Also thank you for the compliment on the executive. It is my one good antique store find.

I have 3/4 full bottles of L'Orange and American Blend inbound now. I am looking forward to trying them.

I took a couple of days off from shaving, so I had about three days growth for my shave this morning. The last shave went very well with the straight, and this one was even better. I have one spot under my jaw line that has a little roughness, but the rest is BBS. It was also very comfortable. As I have gotten more confident with the razor, it does a better job of slicing smoothly through the whiskers.

This shave really came together nicely, as I got the Stirling Port-au-Prince to what I find to be the perfect consistency. Pair everything with one of my favorite AS, Fine Fresh Vetiver, and it was a fantastic shave.

One more note, this is my 2000th post. It has been fun being on this forum with everyone.

Yeah it's really nice. I'd say it's worth buying a bottle or two.

I really love it. I could go with it, my Plissoft and Semogue 830 and I'd be happy.

I really like my Red Injun. It practically wipes the whiskers off.

Unfortunately I can't get a sample pack they won't ship over seas and the UK sites don't have any I'm happy to jump in with full bottles based on the snakebites performance alone I hope you enjoy your coming fine range

Tonight marks the end of my 30 day focus and my introduction to traditional shaving. All of you helped me achieve and maintain a high level of shaving and it was a pleasure to use this months set up 1 last time to another BBS. I look forward to next phase of my learning and all the interesting focus plans you guys are doing next. Not the best pic but my set up doesn't really warrant getting to inventive I have some good ideas for my 1924 though
