1. So I found my birth year in a super Adjustable... Not quite quarter, one off but I've not seen a 1983 in a couple years so I jumped on it. Got it for $25

  3. A build-it-yourself blade sampler pack from tryablade, 2 each of:
    Croma - Diamant
    Crystal
    Dorco - Prime Platinum
    Gillette - Silver Blue
    Personna - Platinum (Israeli Reds)
    Q Ball Platinum Plus
    Schick - Premium
    Treet - Platinum

Almost all are new to me, but I've found that I generally prefer platinum coated blades over stainless. It should be fun trying them all out.
  4. Shazaam! Terrific score.

I finally gave in and bought my first badger brush...I purchased this Hans Baier Silver Tip that's made in Germany...As far as I am concerned all things that are German made wont disappoint...I was born in the UK and wouldn't purchase a British made product if I can help it...;)

  14. Hmm. I actually like British and German products, but I make an exception for British made, Lucas "Lord of Darkness" automobile parts. :)

  17. I spent over 30 yrs driving and restoring/tuning British Triumph, Norton & Harley Motorbikes ...I used to rewire bikes for a lot of people & actually found the later Lucas stuff quite reliable ...The older 6 volt system was crap of course "Lord of Darkness" as we called it...I always converted the 6 volt over to 12 volt systems..Some of the older Harley Iron Head & Shovel head electrics were worse...:)

The older bikes with crappy made points voltage regulators that worked on the same principle were bad an all...The old dynamos were truly bad in the wet...Electronic ignition sorted that out though and modern regulators...The worst electrics I have ever came across are Italian...Although Audi have taken over Ducati now and sorted that out but some of the other Italian bikes are just as bad as ever...:p
