Those are the standard by which others will be judged. My case is missing the decorative top and didn't come with the insert for holding the razor and injector in place. Were those Krona blades additions by you or did they come that way from the little old lady you mugged?
Yeah..I got them with the razors ...It was a Little Old Ladies Antique Shop that had them an all...I seem to have a nose for sniffin out those Old Grandmas that don't quite know what they have got.. Billy..
Sunday SE shave with my Bullet tip. The razor is smooth as can be! Can't believe I was going to sell this old gal a while back, you can see by the wear on the safety bar this one has claimed a few whiskers in its day.. Still going strong in 2016!

Today was a "tip of the hat" to our Librarian/Historian @Billyfergie I used my E2 today, only I didn't have any Feather blades; a situation I should soon remedy....But I did a shave off between to generic Personnas...today I used the Long's Drug variety....There is no room for debate...I always get a closer smoother shave with these Long's Drug/Personnas than my EMS/Personnas....although I'm a fan of both... This causes me to propose for your examination....are all Personna rebrands created equal? Are different rebrands made to different specifications? Anyway....todays shave way one of those "best shaves of your life" type shaves....FANTASTIC.....definitely puts the E2 right up there with my PAL I-m..... BTW....Billy....I don't know where you stole that photo, but that sure is a sweet looking example of the breed...};^))
Yeah..I have some of those NOS Long's Drug Store Personna blades...I like them as well..They are nice blades aint they..The Type E 2 that I have is actually in a lot better condition than that one in the photo..Its got the wrinkle finish an all...It was NOS when I got it and real tight.. Great shavers the Type E 2..I didn't get a single weeper or single mark from it either...Smooth & Smooth... Billy..
I need to try those EMS/Pella/Connaught PTFE coated Personna blades. I've got a small stash of Platinum Chrome Personnas and like them just fine. To me they're not quite as sharp but smoother than Chicks. Need to see if there's a difference.
I'm starting a 30-day focus using my Schick C1. I want to build up my technique with it and determine the best blade for me. I hope to try four different blades for 4-5 shaves each. I’ll use soap and brush combinations that I will normally travel with. I’ve used this razor about half a dozen times since I purchased it last summer. Today was a 2-day growth, 2-pass shave. The razor and blade combo were mostly a smooth, clean and comfortable experience. I enjoyed it, but definitely have some things to work on. I'm using the angle suggested by contributors to this thread - keeping the blade angle similar to using a straight - meaning the handle is almost horizontal to the floor. This will take a bit to get used to as the handle is much heavier than a conventional injector razor. My need to focus on that took me away from focusing on coverage and I missed a few spots. I also repeated strokes which led to noticeable irritation. So I’ll have a few things to work on and keep me busy this month. But all and all an excellent first shave. Can't wait to try all the different blades. Cheers! RT
Yes ! I have one of those Twins to try later this month, along with a cutdown Feather. All based on your recommendation. Thanks! Any others?
