    Dove Men Face Wash
    Arko Stick
    Semogue Owners Club
    Schick E
    Personna
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Pinaud Clubman

The Arko Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Semogue Owners Club boar brush. Two passes with my Schick E injector razor and a Personna Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
  2. Thanks, Mark! :)

Early shave, late post. Kept it dialed back again today dealing with dry winter skin. Another of the Crusella products and I'm liking them.

    Brush: RazoRock plissoft
    Soap: maggard's Mango Sage Tea
    Post: Soap Commander Resolution Balm

3 pass shave today, Second shave with these blades so far, not terrible, but I won't be rushing out to 100 pack either. Still had some stubble leftover after 3 passes which is not a good sign. Finished the shave with Resolution which has nice cooling menthol. Hope everyone had a great shave!
  10. Nice Carnac pic!

    Beautiful looking razor.

Brush: Bethlehem Olivewood w 26mm HMB
    Bowl: Dirty Bird 1.5 Scuttle
    Pre Shave Scrub: MRGLO
Pre Shave Oil: Homemade Bay Rum w Lime
Shave Soap: Krampert's Acadian Spice Bay Rum

Aftershave: Krampert's Acadian Spice Bay Rum

While in my shave den thinking about tomorrow's gear, I realized that I had used Bay Rum for the last three days so I've decided to go ahead and fill out the rest of the week with Bay Rum as the theme as I know I have at least seven more Bay Rum soap in the den plus 7 different Bay Rum AS to chose from. Yeah I know, way too much gear.
  13. Nothing wrong with a little rum.. I splash some in my drink every now and then. ;)

  18. Maiden voyage...04Jan2016

The Hone Type 15 arrived today, so today is a special "Menthol Monday"!

Pre: Noxema in the shower; homemade PSO
    Soap: Stirling "Frozen Tundra"
    Brush: Stirling 26mm synth
    Blade: Voskhod (1)
    Razor: Hone Type 15
Post: Thayer's unscented; Nivea Sensitive PSB

What a pleasurable shave! I usually shave in the morning, but I can see what draws you night shavers to finishing your day with a shave!
What can I say about the Hone that hasn't been said? Is it heavy as all get-out? Yup! Is that distracting? A tad. But talk about a mild and efficient shaver. This is, by far, the most gentle razor I've used (granted, I realize my den isn't nearly as deep as many).
The most challenging part of shaving with the Hone is the lack of feedback. Between how tightly the head holds the blade (no flex here) and the density/heft of the brass most of the cutting sensation is dampened.
That being said, the Hone shaves like a champ! A DFS, for sure!
