I use VDH Luxury soap and it is one I can always count on to work for me. It is the one soap I judge all others by.
Glad it works for you, @Morning Shave ! It's a decent performer for me, but no longer in my rotation because other products work better for my particular preferences.
I saw a coworker put a fancy coffee cup with gold foil on it in the microwave. The results were very interesting. I have never seen gold boil before.
I finally managed to find some VDH Luxury at Wal-Mart again. I'm thinking of melting it and mixing some lanolin in it, to give it much better slickness and to prevent it from drying my face out.
Sometimes after I load the brush up I'll put a couple of drops with an eyedropper of whatever sent I like and drop some shave oil directly on the brush and then either go to a face lather or bowl and bingo you have a new scented soap with tons of slickness.
