    Hello everyone. I changed my January Focus from OC to the Merkur Futur. Explore the settings, try a few blades, improve my technique.

    So today I used:

    - RazoRock Mudder Focker
    - WD 24mm High Mountain Badger
    - Merkur Futur set to 4 (dialed it up after I took the picture ;) )
    - Sputnik blade (#2, used it once before in the R41)
    - Tüff sensitiv Rasierwasser

    At the risk of repeating myself: the Futur is an incredible razor. Today's shave confirmed my initial impressions :happy088:

    I did two passes WTG and A/XTG and did not bother dialing down for the second pass. A little touchup work at my right jawline (the area that always seems to need some extra work) and voila ... a very close to BBS shave without any trouble. After the cold water rinse the Aftershave kept very quiet - almost no irritation. Just amazing.

    Tomorrow I'll try the Merkur set to 6 :shocked003:

    Nice choices today. How does the Aramis soap lather? Is it a tallow-based soap?

    Question: Did the Haslinger soap relax you? ;)

    Soap: La Toja Cream
    Razor: Gillette Pre-War Fat Handle Tech (Triangle Slots)
    Blade: Gillette Platinum (1)
    Brush: Thater Silvertip-26mmx55mm
    Aftershave: Pitralon Classic

    WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

    La Toja Cream today. 20 seconds to load the Thater Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Gillette Platinum in the FH Tech. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Pitralon Classic.

    Pretty much a repeat of yesterday except that we're back to the birth quarter Slim. Almost skipped this one as there wasn't all that much growth from yesterday.

    The Envy white knot is excellent. Great balance of backbone, softness and lather release. I really like the shape of the handle too. The scent of the SV was better today than I remembered from previous lathers. Another SV winner.
