I have Act Flouride Rinse Mouthwash. Great for brushing your teeth, but it looks just like AV. I'm not putting it on my face&neck after shaving, though!

Pre-shave notes: I'm trying to work the Gillette Series into the rotation, in the hopes of finishing it by summer. I'll still be using the Rise Cooling Balm too, just not as much. For the Rise shaves, I'm going to see about this bodywash..does smell nice, and there's very little fragrance in the Super Foam.

Nice write up Jeff. Makes me almost want to shave as cold as you.

To follow up, it says right on the AV Musk bottle that the scent is....(quoting Jack Palance in his Skin-Bracer ad)......"sexehhhhhh"

Hi, tonight I went for modern. The Muhle is only two or three years old, and the blade was a modern one, as was all the software. Everything fell together for this shave, I rate it as a DFS. Here's a quick photo-

A great shave this Sunday morning with the E-Shave products and my Tech Ball End and VDH blade!
I really like the Orange Sandalwood scent it's not too strong and is quite refreshing.
So when all is said and done I ended up with a BBS shave this morning.

moments ago i had an awesome shave. Everything was wonderful. Here is what i´ve used.


Ever Ready 1912 / GEM Stainless / Sapone di Barba Vegetale alla Mandorla / Rubberset Replica w. 25mm Shavemac Silvertip / Intesa Aftershave Gel (Glacial Lotion)

2nd Shave with my Ever Ready. 2nd outstanding shave. I´ve tried a homemade preshave from a member in our German forum with a light lemony scent, mixed with Cold cream. Very nice. It felt like it made the shave more comfortable. The razor is one of the best i´ve ever used. So gentle and thoroughly. No nicks or cuts or irritations.

Just a wonderful shave.

Now i will enjoy the first snow in my area. Blue sky, freezy and snowy. That´s wonderful.

Good morning TSD

My Sunday shave:



- Taylor of Old Bond Street "Jermyn Street"
- Whipped Dog High Mountain badger
- Merkur Futur on 3
- Sputnik
- Tüff sensitiv

I don't have sensitive skin, nonetheless I love this soap/cream It smells just incredibly good and ToOBS never disappoints in terms of ease of lathering, slickness and cushioning.

The usual 2-pass (WTG and A/XTG) plus touchup routine today. I think 3 might be the threshold setting for me ... I don't want to go lower than that, 2 or 1 are too mild for my taste. On the other hand I don't have any problems shaving on 6 - though I have to concentrate a little more on what I'm doing it's still a much more carefree shave than with the R41 for example . The Merkur and the Sputnik work very well together, I like the Sputnik better than the Ladas.

No irritations, AS did not burn much at all.

The rating is a split decision though: BBS on the left side of my face. On the right side however I apparently missed one or two spots, so it's just DFS+ there
