Easy, thick, slick, lather. 7 O’Clock Blue in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Fine Platinum. Bob
The only issue I have with Sampsons is that it is hard for me to get a lather that is both wet and still cushions well. The soap does not lack and slickness, but it does lack cushioning. Slim adjustable set to 9 Rapira Platinum Lux Blade Distilled Water Sampsons All Natural Shaving Soap Face Lathered 3 passes and very smooth. No words were necessary. We all know how the shave went.

January 20, 2016 Razor- NDC Milord Blade- GSB(3) Brush- VdH Boar Soap- Williams This was pretty much a repeat of yesterday's shave except for replacing the Pre-War Tech with the Post-War Milord. I've only had this razor for a short time, but I find it is really becoming one of my favorites. If Gillette razors could be said to come in eras, like comic books, then the 40s SuperSpeed design is definitely one of the stars of the Golden Age. As for the shave... basically an uneventful DFS. WEDNESDAY My first shave with this restored true wedge from Wade & Butcher. Scary sharp edge off the hones (12k Naniwa finish), felt a little harsh on the face so I may take it back to a different finisher. Near BBS results. Have a happy Hump day!
