    Hi everyone, Good Morning. Here's a look at this mornings SOTD;

    1940/41 Gillette Aristocrat.
    Shark Super Chrome Blade.
    Omega Travel Brush (Boar).
    Proraso Red shaving soap.
Nivea post shave balm (unscented, sensitive. ).
    Captains Choice Sandalwood AS Splash.
    Bulgari Extreme cologne.

The old Aristocrat paired with the Shark Super Chrome blade was a good choice. I've only used this razor a couple of times since it was re-plated. I was worried at first about wearing the gold coating, but I realized that I will probably not in my lifetime wear it out. At any rate, this razor is fast becoming one of my favorite razors. It is absolutely beautiful. I love the 1946/47 Aristocrats too, but this model, without end caps is really more pleasing to look at to my eyes. Plus it is a two pass razor. By that I mean I can achieve a two pass BBS with it. It's a great razor. Here's the photo-

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE. FIRST TIME EVER SHAVING WITH A FAT BOY AND IT CAME TO ME THANKS TO @Skinny Rogers KINDNESS AND GENEROSITY. I DECIDED TO TRY THE SUPER-MAX BLADES AGAIN PROVIDED BY @ram57 SO GLAD I DID. EFFORTLESS BBS TODAY IN THREE PASSSES WITH A MINOR TOUCHUP UNDER THE RIGHT JAW LINE. THE RAZOR IS A CHAMP. I FOUND IT EASY TO MANEUVER EVEN IN TIGHT SPOTS AND THE WEIGHT IS MUCH APPRECIATED. APPARENTLY THESE SUPER-MAX BLADES WORK BETTER FOR ME IN A SLIGHTLY MORE AGGRESSIVE RAZOR. OZARK MOUNTAIN PROVIDED LOADS OF BEAUTIFULLY SCENTED, SLICK, CUSHIONY LATHER AND LEFT MY FACE FEELING OH, SO SMOOOOTH. HAVE A GREAT SHAVE AND A GREAT DAY FOLKS. :)

    GOOD MORNING TSD 01/23/16 SOTD

    Gillette Tech Ball End(ndc)
    Lord Super Chrome(5)
    Badger Brush
    Neutrogena
    Cold Water Rinse

It's the fifth day and final day on the Lord blade,I used it all week in different razors with some different soaps and got great shaves every time.
Today's shave wasn't quite a BBS but darn close, but I think that had more to with lack of focus on My part than the equipment.
Being I'm on a roll with great shaves this week I think Tomorrow I'll break out the Rolls Viscount and give it a go.:happy088:

    HAVE A GREAT SATURDAY EVERYONE!!:)

    Good morning TSD :)

My shave today - in the service of science (and my own curiosity of course):

    2301 Kopie.jpg

Since quite a few people claim that the Futur is too bulky to properly shave under the nose I decided to see for myself, so I shaved off my mustache today. :shocked003:

But let's start at the beginning: I cut the long mustache hair with my Remington beard trimmer before I reached for the soap. This Jeeves soap is one of my favorites. Fantastic scent, lathers up easily, slick, good cushioning. The new brush did a very good job as well, I like it. About as soft as the Plisson, but quite a bit more backbone (though less than the Whipped Dog synthetic, which is still my favorite).

Two passes WTG and A/XTG ... and it felt pretty odd to shave my upper lip - haven't done that for months. I proceeded with caution there and have to say: It is quite possible to get a clean shave under the nose with the Merkur Futur, it might just take a little more effort. I had to bend the tip of my nose quite a bit to reach every nook and cranny ;).

One tiny blood spot under my mouth, apart from that a very pleasant and smooth shave. Most of my face is BBS. Finished with the usual cold water rinse, a splash of Tüff and added some Clubman a few
    minutes later.

I'll continue shaving my upper lip area for the next few days to decide whether or not I like the look. :) I might just let it grow again next month...

Wowwwwww, was this shave ever cold as well as smooth as silk and effortless. I had great freezing from the Palmolive Menthol cream, lots of soothing, cooling moisturizing from the Lucky Tiger a/s cream, and an awesome post-shave finish with the Amici aftershave which smells delightful! :happy088: :happy088:

A terrible shave today. My face burned today which is weird as I've had this shaving cream for almost a year and never had a problem with it. My wife said I had a rash on my cheeks about 30 minutes after the Shave. Strange.
