GOOD MONDAY MORNING TSD!!! 01/25/16 SOTD Razor-Schick G-8 Blade-Schick(5) Brush-E-Shave Badger Lather-E-Shave Orange Sandalwood Three Passes-Wtg,Xtg,Atg Post Shave-Cold Water Rinse Witch Hazel,E-Shave Post Shave Lotion Pinaud Clubman A/S Had a really great shave with this little Schick razor smooth and comfortable for all three passes. I bowl lathered the E-Shave Creme instead of face lathering this morning, I like the results a lot better I got a much thicker and rich lather and very slick. So I ended up with a wonderful BBS shave this Monday morning! HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!
Menthol Monday Chilly Excellence bookended my shave, starting with PAA Ice and ending with Krampert's Finest Frostbite. In between, my HIS made slick lather from Ferox, and der Futur, set on 5.5, made quick work of my stubble, leaving smooth and drama free results.
Well, I survived this menthol attack and enjoyed it immensely. The Glacial Lemon Chill soap delivered beautifully on the scent, lather, and freeze. The Arctique aftershave went on so frigidly and although it smells awesome, it doesn't disrupt the scent of an eau de toilette. BBS so easily with the help of my new Astra!

TODAY I PAIRED MY MERKUR 15C OC HEAD WITH MY GILLETTE NEW OC HANDLE JUST FOR KICKS AND IT WORKED OUT VERY NICELY. FELT VERY WELL BALANCED AND IT JUST PLAIN LOOKS COOL. BBS IN THREE PASSES WITH A MINOR TOUCHUP XTG UNDER MY RIGHT JAWLINE. THE PERSONNA LAB'S WORK VERY NICELY IN MY MILD RAZORS MAKING THEM A BIT MORE EFFICIENT. THE BAR HARBOR BRUT IS A WONDERFUL SHEA TYPE SOAP AND SMELLS JUST LIKE BRUT. HAVE A GREAT SHAVE AND A GREAT DAY GUYS.
Good morning TSD Day 1 of my comparison week - Merkur Futur vs. Progress My setup today: - Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood - Mühle STF - Merkur Progress on 2.5 - Gillette Silver Blue (#4) - Tüff sensitiv - Pinaud Special Reserve After having used the Futur for more than 2 weeks I pulled the Progress out of the drawer for a comparison between the two Merkur Adjustables. It's too early for a final verdict but at the moment the Futur is at least one step ahead of the Progress. That doesn't mean that the Progress is not a good razor - it is a very good one and both are actually better (meaning more efficient) than the Gillette Adjustables I have used (Slim and Black Beauty). Monday Prep: warm wash Lather: TSE Tallow Brush: TGN synthetic Razor: Blackbird Blade: Persona blue (9) Post: Old Spice 2 passes and touch up. The blade may be nearing the end. 3 head shaves and 6 face shaves.
SOTD January 25, 2016 Prep: Hot Shower. Noxzema Razor: Gillette Super Speed 1953 Y2 Blade: Personna Lab Blue Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat Brush: Maggard Razors 24mm Synthetic Marble Handle Post: Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate Aftershave: Royall Vetiver Had a beautiful shave with MWF. The new Maggard synthetic brush performed like a champ. I was able to put the spray attached on the Royall Vetitver, make a world of difference. Never let the things you WANT Make you forget the things you HAVE!

Ming Shi razor Astra SP blade Plisson/L'Occitane brush Lea Menthol SC Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Pinaud Lime Sec cologne w/added menthol Saw the Ming Shi on the shelf and thought, "I haven't used that one in at least 2 years". Took it off the shelf and got a right fine shave with it. Smooth, comfortable and close. Just what we are all looking for. And the Lea Menthol is a face freezer of a cream. Love it!
