Not really. I'm giving it about 10 little swipes on the towel, while still in the razor, as I dry and clean up stuff. I'm just going to keep going with this blade until it doesn't work anymore.

Monday: Day 14 of my second round of blade testing

    Prep:
Hot Shower, Nivea Moisturizing Face Wash
    Brush: Omega 11575 Boar
    Lather: Stirling Glacial Obsidian Soap
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Personna Red Israeli (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (4, 5, 6)
Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Aqua Velva Ice Blue aftershave splash
    Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy

Since the Great Blizzard passed us by, I wasn't reluctant to bring out the menthol today. With extra time lathering the Omega, the Stirling provided decent lather, plenty slick if not particularly cushiony. The blade, in conjunction with the 41c, provided a lot of tactile feedback - not irritation or tugging, exactly, but a combination of sharpness and other factors that made it very clear the blade was cutting through the stubble. Three passes left me with BBS results, and a nicely frozen face.

I suppose I'd have a similar problem if the Washington Capitals some year became the Anchorage Bears(er sumethin).
