    Razorock Classic Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #40 Black Badger
    AutoStrop VB1
    Feather SE
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

The Razorock Classic Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #40 Black Badger brush. Two passes with my Valet AutoStrop razor and a Feather SS blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Time to show some love to my Razorock One-X stuff. The soap is such a lather maniac with an awesome scent that's based on Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo. The matching aftershave has that same gorgeous scent and what makes these two products all the more precious to me is the fact that my lovely, wonderful wife bought them for me as a belated Hanukkah gift, so by showing these two great products some love, I'm showing my wife some love - wouldn't you agree? ;) :D

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Astra SP (3)
    Razor: Wet Shave Club 3-piece
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
    Lather: Proraso White
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

One pass with touch-up CCS this morning. I think I've dialed in the water amount for the Proraso, along with being more aggressive in loading and face lathering with the Satin Tip brush. The soap needed a little more water and the brush needed a little more force. Those additions have created a much better lathering experience than I was getting a couple of weeks ago.

24-hour beard growth only needed the one pass with touch-up around my jaw and neck. I could have gone for more closeness, but "less is more" is often a good adage. It applied today.

    Have a great Tuesday!

    Evening shave for Tomorrow
After shaving very early this morn (pre-dawn), I opted to have a nice relaxed shave this evening. Another CMON— this time a vintage 'Cadillac' 5/8." Route 66 'Sweeney Todd' lather and finished with a splash of DR Harris, 'Marlborough.'
    Very pleasant!
    Have a super Tuesday, everyone!

Gillette 1920s Old Type Ball End
    Asco Super Stainless
    Badger
    C.OBigelow
    Three Pass Shave
    Cold Water Rinse
    Alum Block
    Barbasol Pacific Rush A/S

A real close and smooth shave this A.M. The Old Type and Asco blade combo felt great.
Bowl lathering the C.O. Bigelow made a very rich and thick lather and very different from face lathering.
I'm going to stick with this set up the rest of the week the Brush and A/S will change according to my whim.:D

Lavanille all around today for a superb shave. PAA Ice started it off chilly, laying a base for optimal Lavanille lather whipped up with my HIS XL. Der Futur smoothly reduced my stubble over three passes on five.five. Lavanille Tonique finished up this shave the right way, leaving smooth great smelling skin.
Have a great day, no matter which pill you choose.

    Tuesday's shave, 26 Jan

Soap: I rummaged through the deepest parts of a bathroom closet, finding a sample piece of Queen Charlotte's self-titled soap, part of a shipment of samples from QCS in late 2014 I believe. At the time I found them to be superb, primarily in terms of scent, but also performance. I wanted to try it now to see if my experience with soaps and lathering has changed anything. Curiously, the lather built up quicker than anything, although quite airy and dry. I added more and more water without it changing all that much. But what do you know - it performed flawlessly, both during and post shave. Some Nivea sensitive balm spiced up with a squirt of Byredo Oud Immortel, and I am quite enjoying myself right now :) I wouldn't say the scents of the soap and the cologne are complementary, but they are at least within the same realm of tangy fruity-floral with wood and peppery notes.

Razor: coming from the Mongoose, the PAA DOC in three passes was nowhere close to a BBS. It's smooth but not very efficient (or I held it at a wrong angle).
