  4. I really enjoyed this shave with the Razorock One-X soap - it's a hell of a latherer. Although it says that there's menthol, I felt no cooling at all but I don't care because it's wonderful stuff. The matching aftershave smells just as delightful and it contains enough menthol to give some cooling. A brilliant BBS shave! :happy088: :happy088:

    Noxema preshave cream
Gillette Heavy Tech / Astra SP

Solid shave this morning with a nice combination of products. Can't be beat! :chores016:

I shifted my shave just a bit from my posted picture. I used Ogallala Bay Rum instead of Old Spice. But, the Blackbird delivered again! 2 passes over a slick and shiny and sort of wet lather and I have another near BBS shave. This was the 10th shave on the Persona Lab Blue blade and it felt nearly as smooth and sharp as a virgin blade!

GOOD MORNING GUYS. FIRST SHAVE WITH CRYOGEN AND I CAN TELL YOU THIS STUFF IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. HALF WAY THROUGH MY FIRST PASS MY LEFT EYE TEARED UP AND THEN BEGAN TO CRY. EVERY SUBSEQUENT PASS WAS COLDER THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE. IT WAS AWESOME, I FELT LIKE I WAS STANDING IN MY BOXER BRIEFS SHAVING IN THE MIDDLE OF A FROZEN TUNDRA! MY FACE WAS NUMB FOR 20 MINUTES AFTER THE SHAVE WAS DONE. IT'S SURPRISINGLY MOISTURIZING AND SLICK AS CAN BE. FACE LATHERED WITH MY LOVELY @Jayaruh #12. HAVE A GREAT SHAVE AND A GREAT DAY FOLKS. :)

  10. Hello TSD :) My shave today:

    prog2.jpg

Day 2 of my Futur/Progess comparison. This time I used the Progress on setting 4 (5 is maximum, the Futur has a 6 setting).

The Mühle Synthetic brush lathered the Stirling soap effortlessly. A good amount of slick, creamy lather, more than enough for my shave. I'm beginning to like this brush, but I still think the WD synthetic is better. The smaller Mühle will make a really nice travel brush though - I'll just have to buy one of those handy travel tubes.

The Progress set on 4 did a great job today. Very pleasant, very gentle and at the same time very close shave. Seems as if I prefer the upper end of the scale with my Adjustables - provided that it's loaded with the appropriate blade. The GSB is still going strong - good for a few more shaves. I still prefer the overall feel of the Futur though.

Two passes, as usual, WTG and A/XTG, a bit of cleanup along the jawline. Nice BBS shave today, no irritations, almost no Aftershave burn. Straight A

  15. Tuesday:
hot shower w/Mistral Marzipan bar soap
    Somersets Tough Stubble PSO
    Schick Adjustable (6) 3 passes
    Schick (5)
    StrongSet boar
TOBS Eton College cream in a warm bowl
    Thayer's unscented w/aloe
    TOBS Eton College A/S

An absolutely excellent shave this morning! Not to mention I always feel smarter when I use Eton College. Come to think of it, considering how much I've spent in the last few years on shaving stuff, I'm thinking maybe I should have applied for a student loan.
