That's good it works for you. It's strong enough for most menthol junkies and a great lathering soap also.

1/26/16 Head Shave Of The Day

    Prep: shower

    Brush: Vie-Long 13061M

    Blade: Astra SP
    Post: Ogallala Bay Rum

I've neglected my Weber since I received my Blackbird. Fortunately, the Weber did not forget what to do and gave me a nice 2 pass head shave.

If you want my honest and unbiased opinion the Cryogen is indeed a major menthol face-freezer. It's however only SLIGHTLY stronger than the Glacial soaps (to me) but inferior in the lather and skincare. I also find the lack of a scent to be disappointing from the Cryogen because it's so freakishly overly-mentholated. Yet, the Glacials are more intensely-cold than ever before because of Rod's production methods, and they have the same wonderful scents, they lather perfectly, and their skincare is brilliant.

    SOTD January 27, 2016

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Astra SP (4)
    Razor: Wet Shave Club 3-piece
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
    Lather: Proraso White
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Nice, efficient shave this morning with CCS results. My 24-hour beard growth is continuing to lend itself to one pass with touch-up. I'm not as smooth as I would be with two passes but I'm also eliminating irritation or other problems by using this method.

    Have a great Wednesday everyone!

    Thanks Roby!

The original boar knot was too stiff for my liking so replaced with the satin tip. Not only feels better but I think the black knot ties in really well with the handle.

    Hello All, this is today's SOTD;

    1937/38 Gillette Senator.
    1956 Gillette Blue Blade.
    Omega Travel Brush. (Boar)
    Proraso Blue shaving cream.
    Proraso Blue post shave balm.
    Vintage English Leather as splash.
    Vintage English Leather cologne.

I wanted to use a razor I haven't used in a while, so I got out my favorite Senator, and had at it. I rate this shave as a two pass BBS. Here's the Senator in its home, a case I personalized for it. -
