The Equinox LED 20-40x pocket microscope. It was lik $6 on Amazon prime. I didn't want anything fancy. If this ends up not being strong enough I may go with a USB powered video microscope.

More Kai blades. I'm getting quite a varied collection, but I'd like to get a little nicer storage box than what I'm using now...
I'm waiting on a new purchase $21 including shipping!! I'm hoping it was a good buy.. I'm still new to this vintage thing!
I have been curious to try Saponificio Varesino for a while, and last week I pulled the trigger on the Tundra Artica soap and ASB, denominated beta 4.1. Triple-milled veggie soap, and the .1 development is the addition of extracts of Icelandic lichen [moss] and cranberry. Finally!! I have been waiting for ages for someone to add those two ingredients to a soap. Well... SV writes about this soap that "The foam is lighter and requires less water to build up. The performances are balanced to improve the cutting depth." Allegedly it is intended for straight shaving, but I am figuring that it should be good for the Mongoose as well. Commendable level of detail on the SV web page for this soap, a listing of each individual ingredient's function, full scent profile etc. I have also been wanting to try a Merkur Futur, so there's a used one on its way. My experience with adjustables is limited to the FatBoy. We'll see if it adds anything to the collection or if it's only passing through.
I ordered Samples of SV soaps (70s Anniversary, Dolomiti and Manna di Sicilia) along with some Samples from Arran Aromatics, Faena and RazoRock at Shavedash. Heard only good things about Saponificio Varesino. Will be interesting to hear what you have to say about the Tundra Artica. I am also looking forward to your Evaluation of the Futur. I have mine for a few weeks now and it quickly became my favorite razor. The Gillette Adjustables don't come close.
Thanks a lot, Martin. You just cost me 22 GBP Straight into the pocket of the owner of Shavedash! Had never seen that site before, and jumped the gun. Biggest sample availability I have seen - even better than Maggard's, and shipping w/in Europe is cheaper too. Huzzah! Various RR, Tabula Rasa, Calani, MDC and Stirling samples soon on their way.
