I had heard several people rave about it, and the plant that gives it it's distinctive scent, so naturally I was intriqued. I figured I would try the cream first, since it is rather inexpensive comparatively, then if I liked it I would spring for the aftershave and maybe some cologne. Just got the tube in the mail on Friday. As soon as the package arrived, I opened the box, then cracked the seal on the tube and.... I was kind of suprised at the scent. I wasn't crazy about it at first, but after rubbing some between my fingers it did seem to smell a little better. I thought "maybe it will grow on me" (I was hoping not literally). I'm not sure I like it just yet - it seems to have a smell that is a cross between pine and eucalyptus... I think. I shaved with it Friday night... and it made an awesome, slick lather. I did notice that the scent seemed to stay with me the rest of the evening. The scent may be something I can get used to (that's me talking myself into it, I think), but I'm not sure having A/S or Cologne with the very same scent is something that I can handle. Anyone use this product, or the aftershave/cologne? Do the scents vary between them?
I have both the cream and the a/s. I like the scent of the cream. To my nose, the a/s scent is different though. Its a light citrus scent. The scent is very fleeting on me. It pretty much goes away after a few minutes. I really like it because it does not clash with my cologne, so I can use it with whatever other scent I want. It treats my face pretty well for an alcohol splash. Its a good all around a/s. Jordan
Speick cream not only smells great, and lathers very well, it's a very, very soothing cream that works perfectly if you have sensitive skin.
I really like the Speick scent. When I use the shaving cream, I like to layer it with the aftershave splash (which is one of the best, imo) and the Speick edt. I did try the Speick bath soap, but the scent no where near resembled all of the aforementioned products. As for the Speick products, the aftershave splash, shaving cream and edt will always be in my collection. I also have the Speick shave stick, but I haven't used it yet.
Ok... tried it again today. It does seem to be growing on me. I now know that I'm probably gonna be springing for the A/S... and most likely the EDT too. I haven't really detected any citrus element to the cream, but I am a big fan of citrusy scents, so if the A/S has that... I'm sure that will be a bonus. Thanks for the input, gang
I was very pleasantly surprised with Speick. I first purchased the cologne and shavestick. Very pleased with those I sprung for the shavingcream and aftershave. Now only the aftershave balm and deodorant remain.
