February 2 Weber PH Feather (2) Edwin Jagger XL Synthetic Route 66 Lumberjack Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Fine L'Orange Noir My first shave with the Weber today was near BBS. WTG (face)/ATG (neck) on the first pass, ATG on the second pass, and minimal touch-ups. I immediately noticed the difference in weight between the Weber and the Super Speed. The Weber requires a bit of extra care to make sure that no pressure is applied. I had a good, but not an exceptional, lather using the synthetic brush. The Fine L'Orange Noir is always a nice finish to any shave. All things considered, not bad for the first day out with this set up. I'll have another go with it tomorrow. I hope you all have a fantastic week.
Hi Bill! I use Astra Superior Platinum blades, the only brand I now use. I usually shave two passes with touch-up to the get the closeness, usually a DFS.
Thanks Leo, the next time my SS comes in rotation I`m going to try Personna reds(Israeli), and I have some Rapira Lux on he way. I`ve never used them before and I might try one in my SS. Yeah, basically do the same routine on my passes wit the SS, but a lot different with my injectors. again, thanks for responding. Sincerely, Bill

That is not the case sir. The samples are a mystery and evaluated as part of a soap review crew that I'm part of. We should be posting our group review soon. I wanted to revist and use up the remaining sample.
Sir, THAT is a beautiful razor. I will research it. (not that I need another razor), but I really likes it`s looks, Bill
February 1 Monday Night Head Shave Prep: warm wash Lather: TSD Coconut Brush: Elite E7 Razor: Weber PH Blade: Astra SP (3) Post: Ogallala Bay Rum I've not used the TSD soap in a while. It is amazing stuff. It makes a wonderful slick lather in a short amount of time and it really smells great! The Weber and Astra SP did another fantastic 2 pass shave and my scalp feels pretty smooth. Have a great night!

Tuesday's Canadian Artisan Freeze: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Astra day 2 First Canadian Polar Vortex SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Henri et Victoria Bergamot Vetiver AS Acqua di Selva Cologne There are some fantastic face-freezers made in Canada - one of them being this Polar Vortex soap from the First Canadian Shave Soap Company in Barrie, Ontario. Mr Brian Hoffman created a real menthol monster which lathers great, its scent is mild but nice, and does it ever clobber the face with a ton of iciness. The Gold Bond may not be Canadian but it's also good and chilly. This Bergamot Vetiver aftershave created by Mr Claude Pilon of Henri et Victoria in Gatineau, Quebec smells terrific and also gives LOTS of menthol goodness!
Y'know, Jeff, interestingly my Rise Cooling Balm DOES have a little menthol in it-perhaps that's why it says "lightly scented with Rise Original fragrance".
