When I started my current career 10 years ago, the Wife bought me a nickel plated Cross Tech3 mutlipen. Over the years it wore out so I sent it in to Cross for fixing (lifetime warranty). Evidently it was shot because they sent me the current version which feels a tiny bit lighter (cheaper, probably) but has a handy touch screen "finger" on the top instead of the customary conical black cap. Glad to have my pen back for when I can't use the Parkers.
Just received a few things from a trade: AOS Sandalwood tallow version, samples of LASS: Myrkvior, bespoke #1, Topanga Fougere, Woodsy Lavender, CCXIII, a pack of Gillette Nacet blades, and a pack of Rapira Reds. Tried the Myrkvior today and it is a dark and interesting scent that really came alive once lathered.

Well - today was my day off, so wife and I went for a shopping trip to the Outlet Mall this morning. This is what I got Loved the smell of both the White Musk and the Kistna After Shave - and I wanted to try the Maca Root stuff anyways. The Outlet shop sold the whole box for about the standard online price of the shave cream.
Beautiful frameback I know almost nothing about straight razors - do they shave differently than the "standard" blade types?
Framebacks do a unique 'feel' to them compared to standard straight razors. I attribute this to what is basically a flat stamped blade versus a typical hollow-ground or wedge straight razor blade.
I've got the same BS set. Will not comment good or bad as I don't want to cloud your assessment of the BS kit. My first recent kit as introduction back to the "new" wet shaving by wife.
Maybe you already know that ... the VP stands for "Vereinigte Pinselfabriken", which translates to "United Brush-Manufacturers". Their english pages are somewhat lacking, but here you can read a short summary of the company's history: http://www.leonhardy-vp.de/pages/en/menu_main/home.php
Thanks - I will know more tomorrow I don't expect much from the brush though ... I just see it as a free add-on.
I had to post this. I just won an auction for $39.99 for a Gillette Slim, Gillette NEW, and 20 Personna 74 DE blades in 5-packs. I have really been wanting to try a Personna 74, but they are going for about a buck a piece or more. I will post my own pics upon arrival.
