    Prep: Hot Shower. Noxzema
Razor: Gillette Super Speed Flare Tip 1959 E1
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue
Lather: Pré de Provence No 63
    Brush: Semogue 610
Post: Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate
    Aftershave: Fine L'Orange Noir
Having as many soaps as I do I often neglect some of them and PdP No 63 is one, darn I love this soap! Wonderful lather I get from it. The Semogue 610 holds more lather than the Semogue 830 in my non-scientific experiment. Once again the SS shines like the classic razor it is.

  3. I post mine here and in the What Straight Razor did you use today thread. I post more detail on the shave here, and much less commentary in the SR thread. The only reason I don't do the SOTD thread is because I don't have time to keep up with it and this thread both.

  4. @clint64 says the blades last for 7-10 shaves in his experience. I found the Schick blade to be really sharp.
  5. Both. I do. It's up to you. :)
  6. I post in both with less commentary and just a basic summary in the SOTD Thread. I think posting on both is good because many people read the SOTD threads that are not on this one and since I generally read both I might as well post to both.
  7. Post in both! Many of us do that. There is some overlap of members in both threads, but each place has different members too. Share your experiences with all of us in both places!

  9. Hi all
Had migraine yesterday so couldn't bare looking at anything omitting light. All better today and managed to wangle half a days holiday and leave work early. Excitedly rushed home to see my son and wife, and get an early afternoon shave in.
At this point I would like to publicly thank my wife for bursting through the bathroom door like a herd of elephants whilst I had an se blade against my scalp. image.jpg
Can I claim first blood of the focus?
  10. And this is why I get up a 4am on days I am going to shave. One bathroom in the house, so that's the only way I can get it to myself. Hope it looks worse than it is.
  11. Thank you!
  12. Oh my. Hope it's not to bad and you heal up quickly.
  13. I hope it is worse than it looks. I had to have that conversation with my wife and kids after a few scares.
  14. Yes, Troy, but I'm in NB16....hey, wait a minute...lost my mind there for a minute.

  15. We talk techniques here, I post both places. SOTD is more of a journal thread, this is more about discussion.

  16. Yikes!
  17. It is no where near as bad as it looks. My shave was good I got BBS but had 9 touch ups. I want to get down to 2 passes with a maximum of 3 touch ups. The good news is I'm much more comfortable with the razor now. At least when my wife isn't coming through the door like a drug dealer after money. I may take a leaf out of @Drygulch book and get up early. I am getting coffee and pancakes out of it though so perhaps it was worth it.

  19. It's funny at how they seem to know what to do to make things up to us. I at least, never really seem to know what to do when it goes the other way.
