Flea market find. Can anyone who owns, or has seen confirm Williams Original Formula give me a clue? No cap so I'd like to find one that at least looks close. ( The only photos that look close are on that site I don't go to anymore )
Received two lots from the same seller...combined cost just shy of $35; 1) The ugliest scuttle I've seen. This by Col Conk. 2) An almost as uninteresting mug by Col Conk...I think I got two..or three now... 3) It gets better...two plastic combs. 4) But hey - something that actually looks useful! I've never met a Col Conk brush that I've liked but these two Pure Badger ones actually seem rather good. Soft, good backbone, comfortable handles - not bad. Finally to why I spent the money - two NIB Merkur MII's. In colors I don't have - polished silver and gold.
Oh yeah, knew that from the moment I met her. She did get me into wet shaving by buying my first kit. She fishes, hunts and watches baseball, football and hockey.....definately a keeper.
Art of Shaving Traveling Brush.. I got my Brand New AOS Pure Badger Traveling Brush from a German Seller..16 Quid for a 45 Quid brush...Thought it would have been a Snyder buts its actually a Nice Wee Brush with Plenty of Backbone.. Billy..
Previously tested late 1930's to 1951 Canadian Tech razor. Received this lighter variant for a good price. It's stamped X4 referencing 1952. Although sporting a fat handle and 1932 Pat. on base plate all pieces weigh less and the base plate holes are not triangular but more rectangular. I plan on shaving with it tomorrow, want to determine the difference vs previous triangular slightly heavier version.
I haven't tried the Williams stick, but I have some Williams Tonsorial that lathers great, and doesn't have that modern Williams scent which could be a good thing.
You are so correct and I have the perfect place for it so I will PM you my address. I look forward to receiving it soon.
Samples from ShaveDash.com - I was mostly interested in the Saponificio Varesino soaps as I only have the Aromatic Fern (and love it). Decided to try out some other French and Italian stuff while I was at it. It appears they've thrown in a bonus T&H sample
The first holy black shave went great today. Paired it with a GSB (4) and my lather was Palmolive Menthol cream and my JR 13 brush. Didn't have any Blade alignment issues. Just popped it in and tightened down, no adjusting necessary. The thick handle really felt great in the hand. Would definitely recommend this razor. Though I'm pretty sure it is the same razor as one of the scotch and Stowe razors which are cheaper, just not black. Have a great day everyone
