Taking a departure from my Schick C1 focus.

I bought my wife this NOS Lady Eversharp for Christmas. After a few shaves she determined that she liked her turquoise G5 better. So I decided to see how this one shaves my face. (with no desire to try it on my legs or armpits!)

Very different from the Schick C1 I've been using. Required a steeper angle than the C1 to get acceptable reduction. Great shave after making the adjustment.

My first Shave Den Sunday post! Received a big haul of TSD products yesterday. Wow!! This was a terrific shave! The bay rum soap is a heavy clove-influenced scent. It reminds me of the holidays. The lather is top-notch - exceptionally easy to load, rich, thick, cushioning - all the good stuff you're looking for. The Escali badger brush lost a good many hairs a couple of days ago but performed really well today. I had enough lather left over to do two or three more passes. The post shave feel after the cold water rinse was the best I've ever experienced. I am really pleased and impressed with the TSD soap!

The Schick razor was a gift to me and I've really enjoyed it. I will return to a Maggard DE tomorrow to begin a new focus, but the Eversharp will be close by and I'll use it off and on.

TSD's iced bay rum was a real treat. It stung a little bit at first and then the menthol kicked in and really cooled things off. I finished with Nivea balm.

All in all this was a terrific shave. I'm overly impressed with the quality of the TSD products! Now I see why so many of you sing their praises.

February Focus begins a day early with my Schick Type D - The first Schick Injector Razor circa 1935

3-day growth = 3-pass shave.

First shave with the D - a beautiful razor and a great shave.
First pass (WTG) seemed very efficient, so second pass went right to ATG and a very comfortable shave.

First impression - this razor was extremely easy to maneuver and settle in on the shave angle. Efficient, close and casual - casual because I immediately got the angle and it appeared to flow across the face with minimal to no pressure and even provided a good ATG on upper chin and corners of my mouth where I hardly ever do ATG.

I think I’m going to enjoy this month!

I really like the suction cup storage rack for the razors! I need something like that.

 

Yes Perry, the slotted toothbrush holder is very nice for this purpose. It's a 4 brush holder that I found in the Jungle (Amazon ;-)
Great when you have minimal counter space and not very expensive either. Holds DEs as well, though it seems to get overloaded if I try 4 razors at once. They sell a one holder version as well.
