  2. Is that blade blued, like gun metal?
  3. No it's just the lighting:scared003: that would be very cool if it was blued like gun metal.

I think it may be safe to say I have the Fat dialed in...

And yes that is my fat handled tech...the lighting just makes it look a little different...I am sticking to my focus guys....I am solid as a rock...totally not my R41....:scared003::ban:
  6. Day 5. (From yesterday evening.) Each shave is getting worse...not as close, more weepers, more irritation. Maybe I'm getting too comfortable and slacking on technique.
  7. Sorry to hear that. I really do like to get back to basics when I go through patches of bad shaves. I find sticking to a consistent set up and really focusing on keeping a shallow angle seems to help. Keep posting some details on here as these guys have helped me out a ton.
  8. Congratulations. :happy096:
  9. Good advice. :happy088:
  10. Excellent picture. I really like the scent of the Route 66 Lumberjack soap. :happy088:

I have decided this razor likes a very shallow angle. After my first pass, I still had a some roughness in center field, so I lathered up that area again and did another pass. I ended with a DFS with a slight sting of the alum. I almost felt I was cheating with the lather today. The Chiseled Face just exploded with great, slick lather. The Sherlock scent is great, too.

A automatic near BBS 2 pass shave this morning while being smooth and efficient. Perhaps not quite as close as the Mongoose?FEather Super Pro combo but almost. The big boar lathered the SC Passion with ease. Finished with a splash of Fine Platinum. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
  13. Great photo. :happy088: You are really making good progress with the SR. I have enjoyed following your journey. :happy096:
  14. I see the Clubman lying on its side, with 33% extra. I'm going to buy my next Clubman from CVS, and I doubt they'll have the 33% extra, but it'd be nice. 6 oz. is fine.
  15. Another clean picture. Looks great :happy088:
    Safe drive to work.

  17. Thank you. Straights are definitely fun!
  18. That "Clint 64" looks like a nice razor :).
  19. Thank you, Doug!
  20. Thank you both. I am really enjoying the AlumiGoose.
