  9. GOOD MORNING TSD!! SOTD 02/15/16

    Razor-Unknown Trac II
    Blade-Dollar General
    Lather-Neutrogena
    Brush-E-Shave Badger
    Post Shave-Cold Water Rinse
    Witch Hazel,Gillette After Shave Gel

A very nice and smooth shave this morning, not really sure why I went with the TracII saw it sitting there last night and thought eh! why not.
I did my normal three pass shave, wtg, xtg, atg no irriation or nicks, the Neutrogena is always very slick, it's the 2nd or 3rd shave on the Dollar General blade.
So all in all I have to say a very enjoyable shave with a BBS finish!!:happy088:

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!!:) DSCF0117.JPG

  11. Hi everyone, today's SOTD;

    1941 Gillette Ranger Tech.

    Avon Mesmerize post shave conditioner.
    Avon Mesmerize cologne.

I had a great shave today. The old Segal blade chopped down all my stubble to a level of DFS. I was a little apprehensive about the blade at first, there were a couple of brown spots on the paper inner wrapper, which usually indicate deterioration, but the blade looked and performed just fine. I think my whiskers must be easily cut though. I sent a few tucks of these same blades to a friend of mine, and he had a lot of tugging and pulling from them. End result for him was a below average shave. Too bad though. But at least I can use them.
Anyway, have a great day people!

  19. Hello TSD - first shave with my new Rockwell razor today :)

    rock2.jpg

    - Mitchell's Wool Fat
    - Semogue OC badger
    - Rockwell 6S with 1/3 baseplate
    - Gillette Silver Blue
    - Tüff sensitiv Rasierwasser

Very nice shave - I already love this razor. Good weight and balance, fantastic handle. Started WTG with the #1 plate - very smooth and actually quite a bit more efficient than I thought. I like to feel the blade a little more though, so I turned the baseplate over for the next pass X/ATG. Better :) Still pretty mild, but definitely more reduction and a little more acoustic feedback. Some touchups - and voila: 95% BBS, I'd say. Very nice for the first shave with a completely new razor.

    Tomorrow I'll try 4 and 5.
